The Müllerian eminence is an epithelial on the ventral part of the cloaca between the orifices of the Wolffian ducts. It appears during the development of the urinary and reproductive organs.

[edit] Function

The Müllerian ducts end here. At a later stage the eminence opens in the middle, connecting the Müllerian ducts with the cloaca.

In the adult human, the Müllerian eminence has no function, but is only a remnant in the form of the hymen[1].
