Mêlée is a pop-rock quartet from Orange County, California.
Over the past couple of years, Mêlée has appeared on the Warped Tour and Take Action! Tour, sharing the stage with Copeland, The Donnas, Bowling for Soup, Sugarcult, Motion City Soundtrack and Starting Line, among others. After touring exhaustively and selling 15,000 copies of their 2004 release, Everyday Behavior (Sub City/Hopeless),[citation needed] the band became the subject of a major-label bidding war before inking with Warner Bros. Records A&R chief Craig Aaronson. They have recorded a few videos for some of their songs including "The War" and "Built to Last." Chris Crons younger brother, Jake Cron, is also in a pop punk band called The Sweet Hello based out of Orange County, CA. * The Official The Sweet Hello Myspace The band entered pre-production on their major-label debut, Devils & Angels, with roughly 34 songs in the works. Produced by Howard Benson (All American Rejects, My Chemical Romance, Mae, Daughtry, Papa Roach), Warner Bros. Records released Devils & Angels on April 3rd, 2007.
The band is managed by Adam Harrison.
Mêlée appeared on FOX's This Week In Baseball on July 7, 2007. They discussed their love for the Los Angeles Angels and their song 'Built to Last' was played in the background during their interview.
They reached #1 on Tokio Hot 100 on J-Wave in Japan, before ever playing a show there. They have a handful of shows scheduled in Japan for late January 2008.
