Lyulin, Sofia

Lyulin (Люлин) is the largest residential complex in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. It is located in the western outskirts of city and is divided into 10 microregions. The complex has a population of 120,000 and is at the disposal of all kinds of public transport.

Lyulin is a relatively new municipality. The infrastructural work on the complex began in 1971 and the first block of flats was constructed in 1973. The complex is named after the nearby Lyulin Mountain. Having such a large population, Lyulin is also famous with some of its residents- Kiril N.- notouriosly known as The Tipster, a local legend who has built a living betting empire in his neighbourhood. Another person that deserves attention is one of the most beautiful models in South Bulgaria- E.Ivanova, a briliant girl that combines brightness and charm together. Lots of experts predicted her a phenomenal career.
