Lyudinovo

Lyudinovo (Russian: Людиново) is a town in Kaluga Oblast, Russia, located on the shores of the Lake Lompad formed by a dam on the Nepolot River. Lyudinovo is situated some 65 km north of Bryansk and 188 km southwest of Kaluga. Population: 41,400 (2005 est.); 41,829 (2002 Census); 34,000 (1970).

The village of Lyudinovo was first mentioned in 1626. Later on, it grew into an industrial town and was granted town status in 1938.
