[edit] Naming convention
- The japanese name of the charater Orpheus from the Greek mythology is オルペウス (Orubeusu = Orpheus), or オルフェウス (Orufeusu = Orpheus). But while the name of the Saint Seiya movie character is indeed オルフェウス (Orpheus), Kurumada named his manga character オルフェ (Orufe = Orphee), which is the French form of the name, Orphée .
As for when he named the Aquarius Gold Saint Camus after the French writer Albert Camus, Kurumada probably made a reference to Cocteau's movie "Orphée" (1950).
However I didn't know if I had to put the character "é" in the title of the article : Orphee or Orphée ? Folken de Fanel 10:51, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

- I don't think it'd be inaccurate to add the little "é" to the name; especially if Kurumada had intended it to be a reference. Go right ahead. -Tragic Taco
he's name is Orufe, in any case Orphe, butthere is not double letter nor an accent on top of them. I don't know where Kurumada had it like that or if just fans assume it's that way.
I go for Orphe, it's the most accurate one
- 'Orufe' is simply the rendition in japanese of the french form of "Orpheus", that is, Orphée.Folken de Fanel (talk) 21:48, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Saint-Orphee-manga.jpg
Image:Saint-Orphee-manga.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
