LynuxWorks, Inc. is a software company based in San Jose, California, that produces embedded operating systems and tools for embedded systems development. LynuxWorks began in 1988 as Lynx Real-Time Systems creating the LynxOS real-time operating system (RTOS), which has been used particularly in industrial, networking and military and aerospace applications.
LynuxWorks' competitors include Wind River Systems, QNX, MontaVista, TimeSys and Green Hills Software.
