Lynton railway station is a railway station on the Belair railway line, which is located between the Adelaide southern foothills suburbs of Lynton and Clapham, located 10.7km by railway from the Adelaide Railway Station.
The station was opened soon after World War II, replacing the Sleeps Hill railway station which was approximately 500m south of Lynton station.
The station has two platforms, but only the eastern platform, which was rebuilt in 2007, is in use. (The eastern platform is served by the broad gauge TransAdelaide railcars.) The western platform became disused when the western track was converted to standard gauge in 1995; the disused western platform may be on the ARTC's "Hit list".[citation needed] Prior to the conversion, the previous station on the Belair line was Clapham.
