Lynn Lashbrook

Lynn Lashbrook (born October 11, 1948) is an agent and educator.[1] A former college athletic director and sports agent, Lynn Lashbrook – a Portland resident since 1996 – created an online school called Sports Management Worldwide.[2] A Kansas City, Kan., native who earned an undergraduate degree at Fort Hays (Kansas) State and got a doctorate in kinesiology from Northern Colorado, he taught for more than 35 years, served in athletic administration at several universities and was athletic director at both Southern Illinois-Edwardsville and University of Alaska Fairbanks.[2]

In 1993, Dr. Lashbrook joined Sports Management Group. With SMG, he represented 16 football players, 12 of whom played in the NFL. He left SMG in 1998 to start sports-management.com.[3]

Before becoming a sports agent and consultant in 1993, Dr. Lashbrook spent twenty years in college athletics as an athletic director, advisor and coach. Dr. Lashbrook also served as President of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics in 1986. He concluded his career in college athletics as Director of Athletics at the University of Alaska Fairbanks from 1988 to 1993.

Dr. Lashbrook is an Assistant Professor at Eastern Oregon University, and an adjunct professor at Oregon State University.[3] Lashbrook has been working and teaching in sports management for over 30 years. Lashbrook has served at the collegiate level as an athletic academic advisor and athletic director. At the professional level, he has been a National Football League sports agent for the past 15 years and created the online sports management company SportsManagementWorldwide.com. [4]

He was an Assistant Athletic Director at the University of Missouri,[5] before becoming a Director of Athletics at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville [6] and University of Alaska-Fairbanks. Lashbrook was also the UAF athletic director from 1988-93. [7] In 1985, Dr. Lashbrook served as President of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics.[5] His campus experiences include serving as an adjunct professor at Oregon State University, [8] Eastern Oregon University, [9] and Western Oregon University and Pacific University. [10] As an Adjunct Professor at the United States Sports Academy he was named Professor of the Year in the Distant Learning Program in 2000. [11]
