Lynn Dalby

Lynn Dalby is an actress born 17 February 1947 in Harrogate, Yorkshire, England who is most notable for her role as Ruth Merrick/Sugden in the soap opera Emmerdale Farm in 1972. She starred as "Hazel" in the 1970s series Budgie, which starred Adam Faith. There were 26 episodes made between 1970 to 1971. She trained at the Corona Acting School with her future Emmerdale co-star Frazer Hines. Lynn Dalby also played a secretary called Rita Hughes in Crossroads before starring in the crime drama Breakaway. After the end of her six-year marriage to director Ray Lonnen, Lynn emigrated to Australia.
