Lyngdorf
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lyngdorf Audio is a Danish professional audio system company. Founded in Denmark in 2005 by Peter Lyngdorf and current managing director Jes Mosgaard[1], it produces complete high end audio systems such as loudspeakers and amplifiers aimed at high quality and high performance audio enthusiasts[2].
[edit] The Steinway & Sons contract
In 2007, the high-quality piano maker Steinway & Sons gave Lyngdorf exclusive rights[1] to manufacture high quality audio systems under the name of Steinway & Sons with prices around 150.000 dollars[1].
[edit] RoomPerfect
One of Lyngdorf's technologies is the room acoustics measuring and correction feature, RoomPerfect. With this feature, the audio system corrects the audio so it will fit with the environment, providing optimal sound in two modes. One mode focuses on one single location in the room, resulting in better audio to the listener. The other mode does not focus on any specific location, but optimizes the sound so it will sound the same anywhere in the room.
