Lynch School of Education

The Lynch School of Education (LSOE) is a professional school of Boston College. Joseph O'Keefe, S.J. is the current dean.
The Lynch School of Education offers graduate and undergraduate programs in education, psychology, and human development. The mission of the school is to improve the human condition through education. This goal is pursued through excellence and ethics in teaching, research, and service. Lynch School faculty prepare students to serve diverse populations in a variety of professional roles—as teachers, administrators, human service providers, psychologists, and researchers. What unites this diverse work is the underlying aspiration to enhance the human condition, to expand the human imagination, and to make the world more just.
The Lynch School was formally dedicated as the Carolyn A. and Peter S. Lynch School of Education on November 2, 2000. Peter Lynch is a BC graduate and one of the country’s best-known financial investors. Carolyn Lynch is a fervent supporter of education, and is a graduate and trustee of the University of Pennsylvania and president of the Lynch Foundation.[1]
