[edit] Mr. Bonhomme Richard!

Still standing up for standing up and plugging plugging I see. Those blogs are interesting. Now here is a site for you: [1].

Maybe it is time for yet another coffee break. I tried to email you a few times but no reply. You probably didn't get it. I will have to call.

On the political blog it isn't that simple. Whatever the country is it is not that uniformly. A few words cannot capture all the billions of motives of all the billions of events that the mind might theoretically discern in a hypothetical instant. Such words are an imposition of the mind. Whether they are the most accurate words is another thing. But quite apart from that is the problem of what you or I or anyone might mean by such words. In my time I've flipped a good many such coin. In a typical heated discussion the word being argued over is taken to be the same by both parties but the meaning is not; in other words, we are treated to individuals in proximity each having his own argument unrelated to the argument of the other but triggered by key words spoken by the other totally without the the other's knowledge. I could mean one thing by democracy and you something else so when we began to argue about it each of us would not be arguing against the other but against his own view of the other. If there was an audience they would be avidly following each his own dream of what we were saying and agreeing or disagreeing with himself in a way not at all related to what each of us was saying. Whew. The problem on Wikipedia is to get the blandest and most commonly recognized triggers in. You can always spot a demagogue by his triggers. Later.Dave 02:47, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] History of Groveland

Hello Richard, hope you do not mind, I added an introductory paragraph to your History of Groveland. Actually I think a lot of that history should be put into the History section of Rowley. But I will leave that for you to decide. Best Regards, Dave B. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DavidBlackwell (talkcontribs) 22:50, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
