[edit] Metallica/Speed metal
Kill 'em All is a speed metal album. As you may know speed and thrash metal are closely related. Simply put, speed metal is sped up traditional heavy metal. Thrash metal sounds harsher, darker, due to chromatic riffing, while traditional heavy metal still has a bluesy feel. Metallica did both genres on Kill 'em All. Emmaneul (Talk) 14:18, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Uhhh Phantom Lord is A Speed metal song, so is Metal Militia. Bassicly they used it for there first album. And Demos. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.155.136.167 (talk) 00:07, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome
You are very welcome to Wikipedia! I thought that it might be worth mentioning, if you did not know already, that there is a Czech language Wikipedia: I'm sure they could do with good contributors, too! Best wishes, RobertG ♬ talk 11:52, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RE: Hi
I don't know what you are talking about. Show me where you think I was an edit warrior and where I vandalized wikipedia. I feel unnecessarily accused and I think you are being offensive. Please be more civil, assume good faith and be more clear. If your problem is the addition of heavy metal I did on Machine Head, then I can solve it instantly: (I said this before in my edit comment) take a look at the sources already in the infobox. I'll again revert you as per source. Kameejl (Talk) 10:04, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
- Stubborn? How am I stubborn? You were asking for sources that back up Machine Head is heavy metal, were you? They are already there, you have no valuable reason to remove and re-remove it. You might want to read WP:CIVIL Kameejl (Talk) 13:29, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re: hi Man!
Im glad you asked. as you may know, Crowz is the unreleased slipknot album. it contains demos for "Me Inside", as well as "Only One", and contains songs that evolved into other songs(Carve=Before i Forget, Snap=Spit it out, etc). If you want it, go to [black-goat.com]. Because Websense blocked the page right after i downloaded it(i edit from school), i havent been there for a while. But check it out. hope this helps.the juggreserection IstKrieg! 14:56, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- It should be pointed out that the song "Hate" is actually by Stone Sour. And, "Interloper"(track 2), "Windows", "May 17", and "Heartache and a pair of Scissors" are all live and that is the best quality you can get. but i dont know, if you can find a better version then let me know.the juggreserection IstKrieg! 14:27, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Encyclopaedia Metallum and Rockdetector
They are wikis just guarded by one person. For example when i re-wrote the Slayer article i found heaps of simple errors in the Slayer biography. I sent in the corrections with sources and did they get fixed? Nope. M3tal H3ad (talk) 03:07, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] VUVR notability
Before you are blindsided you with an AfD, I want to bring up this issue. I don't see that it passes WP:BAND, so you might want to prepare an argument for this before someone tags it. Thanks. --Anon 67.187.38.109 (talk) 01:20, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] VUVR
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article VUVR, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}

Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}

[edit] AfD nomination of VUVR
An editor has nominated VUVR, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/VUVR and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 11:59, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

This is a notice to inform you that there has been a Request for arbitration regarding the Demo album/studio album issue, you have been listed as an involved party. REZTER TALK ø 18:07, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Administrators' noticeboard
Since the arbitration has turned out to be the wrong place for this incident I have report your behaviour at the Administrators' noticeboard. You have been mentioned due to your actions in response to the decision everybody else agreed on. REZTER TALK ø 11:08, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Guidelines
Read the guidelines. lists are seperated by commas. Genres can be seperated by a break if there is only two. If there are three or more use a comma. You have been reported to an admin BTW. 156.34.215.213 (talk) 11:50, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summaries
What a joke, it's not vandalism but a disagreement over the most common usage. Who says the band is the most common usage? By thw way I can hear you quite well with you needing to shout. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 23:17, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Disambiguation
Actually, I have the non-proper-noun Six feet under as a disambiguation page. I think that's correct within MoS - the proper noun goes to the most likely article, the phrase goes to a disambiguation that defines the phrase and gives possible articles. It shouldn't need the explicit "disambiguation" tag unless there are actually multiple articles with the title "Six feet under," and unless one of them is going to be housed at Six feet under which is not the case. [edit] User Page Tables
There are two components: The user page base area (grey background) and then the tables themselves (on a different page and transcluded). It's pretty easy, really.
Place the code on this page to your userpage, substituting my information for yours. Where I have {{User:Vidioman/Userpage}}, you can put {{User:Lykantrop/Userpage}}. Once you've finished that part, submit it. The link to the user page boxes will be red. Click on that.
Copy the code from here and paste it into your own page, then exchange my information for yours, and change the colours, etc. It should then appear on the user page. The red menu on top is here if you want that as well. It's also transcluded onto the user page. Also, remove the hidden notes. It creates a white space at the bottom of the tables.
It's pretty easy but it might be confusing at first. I added some notes to the user page and tables page to help you figure out what to copy. If you have any more questions about the code just let me know. :) vıdıoman 13:10, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Request for Rollback
Hi. I've granted your request. Please remember it is for the removal of clear vandalism only. If you need any help with the tool feel free to ask on my talk page. Pedro : Chat 22:23, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
- At this time rollback has been temporarily removed from you until a decision can be rendered at WP:RFR. The main concern listed there is that you do not clearly understand what is considered to be vandalism and what is a a good faith edit. Please read over WP:VANDALISM and only revert or call content vandalism if its only intent is to disrupt of damage the project and the user has made the edit in bad faith. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers, Tiptoety talk 01:01, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Now I'm warning you
I've responded on my page and I see you've already been warned before for too quickly calling someone's edits "bad faith." You are treading on thin ground here. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 20:48, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- I responded again on my talk page. I think you should learn the difference between page blanking and redirecting (which is what I was doing and is not vandalism in the least). I was redirecting the NWOAHM page to the metalcore page. The NWOAHM page has been a redirect to the metalcore page for the longest time and it should stay that way. An admin has protected the NWOAHM page now, so neither of us will be editing it. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 21:29, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

I saw your photos on Commons of Fallingwater, nice. That must have been a fun trip. :) IvoShandor (talk) 14:29, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- No real rhyme or reason to it. I pick a county in Illinois and visit as many sites within it as I can. Soon I will expand to Wisconsin, there is still a lot to see in Illinois but I hope to take in more FLW in 'Sconsin. I tend to prioritize by making it to sites that either don't have wiki entries or don't have photos. Now that it is getting warm again I can finish off northern Illinois and trek further north, as I said. One day I will make it to Fallingwater (still haven't been even though I have visited PA 5 times in the last 8 years) :) IvoShandor (talk) 13:46, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- I am jealous, one day I will come to Europe and stay for years looking at castles and architecture. I will make it to the Johnson Wax Building, what a great building that is. We have some key Mies Van Der Rohe works around me, some in Chicago but the most famous is near where I live, about 40km away, the Farnsworth House, I have a nice framed picture of that house on my wall. :) IvoShandor (talk) 22:09, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Please stop removing italics in the lead when they belong there, such as you do in this edit. Nothing in Wikipedia:Lead section supports that as you suggest, and video game titles are properly italicized per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (titles). Pagrashtak 15:40, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of 2000-2001 Demos
A tag has been placed on 2000-2001 Demos requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. - JulesN Talk 13:26, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
You have recently recreated or reposted material at 2000-2001 Demos which previously was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not recreate this page without prior approval from an administrator or you may be blocked from editing. We ask that you respect what Wikipedia is not. If you disagree with the page's deletion, you may seek an independent deletion review. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 14:25, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] NWOAHM
Okay, sorry to have to do this but anyone who changes the article from now on with incur an edit warring block in order to protect that specific article. That's the deal. Essentially, this is WP:1RR except you'll be blocked at 1 revert. This goes to User:Navnløs and User:Lykantrop: If the article in question is changed again (no matter what state it is in) then you will be blocked for edit warring. I do not want to hear any excuses, "But that's the way it's supposed to be", or "He's edit warring, I'm not" - I don't want to read anything like that, so don't bother. Either of you change it again and you will be blocked. That's it. End of. Meanwhile, consider WP:MEDIATION, seeing as this has gone on for long enough. I will post this on both of your talk pages. Thanks. ScarianCall me Pat! 18:06, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Cavalera Conspiracy
Hi, please do not remove factual information, as you did to Cavalera Conspiracy. Johny Chow is indeed the new bassist. Just go to the band's official website, www.cavaleraconspiracy.com, and find the entry for June 2nd, 2008. It clearly states in that entry that Joe Duplantier has left the band to record Gojira's upcoming fourth studio album. Festering Rat Corpse (talk) 14:44, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
Well thanks for clarifying that. I really didn't want to see Joe permanently leave. About my username, if you wonder why I chose it then just go to my userpage. It explains it. But what the hell does your username mean? Festering Rat Corpse (talk) 16:21, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Username
I want to shock people because it's so fun to watch their reaction... and because, as a fan of death/thrash/extreme metal, it's what society expects of me. I've tried convincing arrogant nonbelievers that, just cuz my music is faster and heavier (and quite frankly, better) than your rap or country or emo bullshit, that doesn't mean that I'm a Satan-worshipping, Gothic freak who sacrifices innocent little animals "to appease the metal gods". But that obviously didn't work, people still saw me the same way. If I dressed differently then maybe they'd overlook my music of choice and see that I'm a caring human being who loves his family. But I guess that's too hard for those birdbrains to comprehend - they see me in my Children of Bodom or Slayer shirt and they think I'm a serial killer.
- So, I'm just having a hoot with society's pre-conceived notions with heavy metal by giving myself a shocking death-metal username. Sometimes I use it in real life too - oh man, you should see the faces...
- BTW dude, check out the videos I just put on my userpage. Festering Rat Corpse (talk) 20:26, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
That's a good attitude to have, yours is, I guess. It's a bit harder where I live to not "give a fuck" cuz people are just so paranoid and weird. (I know, strange talk coming from a death metal fan). But sometimes I swear that I have more sense than they do about a lot of things. Especially real-life things. It's just fun to mess with people, that's all.
Uh, where did that comment about black metal come from?... But I agree with you that most black metal lyrics are bullshit. Satanism can be just as flawed as Christianity. Any religion can. Take care, man. Festering Rat Corpse (talk) 17:38, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Arise
Thanks man. The GA deadline is tomorrow, so any kind of input is appreciated. Musicaindustrial (talk) 02:53, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Ah... The good ol' days, back when Sepultura wasn't a bullshit act... quite unlike the current lineup, which is completely false... How can there be NO CAVALERAs in Sepultura? They really should've broken up when Max left, but they DEFINETELY should've broken up after Iggor left!!!! That's okay, that's what Cavalera Conspiracy is for.
- ...Oh sorry. Hey man, just wondering, did you know that I'm a 1984-1996 Sepultura fan? Cuz if so, how come you didn't tell me that Arise was gonna get nominated for GA? I would've liked to help, but it looks like most of the work is already done. Take care tho, Festering Rat Corpse (talk) 17:38, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
