Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles is a bilingual school based in Los Angeles that includes both an English Language Section with an American college prep program and the official French curriculum of study which prepares the students to take the French general baccalauréat. It is also the Southern California center for baccalauréat examinations. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and fully recognized by the French Ministry of Education. All students at the school are required to take and master the French language.

This preschool through 12th grade learning institution was founded by Esther and Raymond Kabbaz in 1964 and is structured as a non-profit organization. Their daughter, Clara-Lisa Kabbaz, is the president of the school.

The school has some 800 pupils from more than 55 countries, 60% of whom are U.S. citizens, and is composed of five campuses in West Los Angeles, Palms and the Pacific Palisades. A US$35 million new high school is being built on National Boulevard in Palms. [1] [2] [3] The new Esther and Raymond Kabbaz High School will open in fall 2008.
