I am a member of the Firearms WikiProject, a project devoted to the improvement of firearms and ammunition coverage on Wikipedia. I understand that a personal firearm is, at the same time, a Weapon, Tool, Machine, and a Work of Art.

Hello all. A little bit about myself: I love planes with a passion, and I really enjoy rifle and handgun shooting.

[edit] My shooting

I've fired the M1, a Springfield rifle, the Desert Eagle, a Springfield Armory M6 Scout, a Ruger MK II, a Remington 870, a Browning Citori, several cheapo .22 rifles, a Browning Buck Mark, and probably some others that I don't remember, too. I've also fired a little bit of black-powder: two kit built, one a British-styled musket, the other an American-style rifle, and one rifle of roughly 1850's vintage, American-built, but with features more common in German-built arms; most specifically, a highly curved buttplate that sort of hooks onto the shoulder, so to speak. There was also a carbine, of which I know little.

[edit] WikiProject Firearms

As mentioned above, I am a member of the WikiProject Firearms, but what is not mentioned is that I am the coordinator of the project. That came about because I got curious, and noticed that the Weaponry Task Force of the Military History WikiProject did not cover civilian firearms. This made me wonder who covered them. I discovered that there was no project dedicated to covering the important subject of firearms. So I created the project myself. If you're reading this and are interested in firearms, just go here, and add your name.
