Lviv International Airport (Ukrainian: Міжнародний аеропорт "Львів") (IATA: LWO, ICAO: UKLL) is an airport in Lviv, Ukraine. In 2005, the airport carried 110,000 passengers[1].
The airport is located 6 km from downtown Lviv. On site, travelers have access to a currency exchange, luggage storage, ATM machines, telephones, coffee shops, and parking. Hotel Tustan near the airport has one and two-room apartments for rent.
Future Expansion
In preparation for Euro 2012, Lviv International Airport is to undergo a $200m expansion project. Of the $200m, it is expected that the Ukrainian government will provide $70m, including $14m in 2008, and $130m will come from private investors[2]. The expansion project will include a 700 metre extension of the existing runway and a new airport terminal capable of handling up to 1,220 passengers per hour (or 330,000 annually)[3].
