Lutheran Hour Ministries

Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) is a Christian outreach affiliated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, Lutheran Church - Canada and Lutheran Women in Mission (LWML).

LHM produces Christian radio and TV programming for broadcast, as well as Internet and print communications, dramas, music, and outreach materials. Formerly known as the International Lutheran Laymen's League, in 1992 the organization's name was changed to Lutheran Hour Ministries as a result of the popularity of its flagship radio program, The Lutheran Hour.

From 1948, L'Heure Luthérienne developed with the aid of ILLL (also known as Ligue Internationale des Laïcs Luthériens (LILL)) in France. Though having shared LHM's identity, it became autonomous from LHM, no longer supported by ILLL in the spring of 1999. ^[1] L'Heure Luthérienne faithfully continues with the uniquely Lutheran mission that LHM used to have. Its director since 1993, the Reverend Jean Thiébaut Haessig has also, since 2000, been the President of the Evangelical Lutheran Church—Synod of France and Belgium as well as pastor for its congregation in Chatenay Malabry in the Île-de-France Hauts-de-Seine Arrondissement Antony in the southwestern suburbs of Paris.
