Luis Alberto Hurtado (born November 1, 1986 in Cheran, Michoacan) is a Mexican football player who plays for Manchester United. He predominantly plays as a Left winger.



Biography

Luis Hurtado is the older brother of there family. Luis's career started with Guadalajara, Even though he had not made his debut on Chivas' first division team, his big break came when he participated in the U-17 World Cup with the Mexican national team. Vela helped the Mexican team win the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship against other promising teams, including Brazil. He became a pivotal figure during the match against Brazil, by defeating the South American team 3-0 during the tournament's final. Along the conclusion of the 2005 World Cup in Peru, Luis was named the 2nd scorer of the tournament with 4 goals and claimed the Adidas Silver Boot. Eventually after the World Cup, Jorge Vergara, owner and president of Chivas de Guadalajara, offered to sign him. Mexico beat Brazil in the final for the World Cup.

Europe Following his showing at the U-17 World Cup, in which he won the Silver Boot and led his native Mexico to the title, Luis attracted interest from a number of European clubs. It was eventually Manchester United F.C. who came out on top and won the race for his signature in November 2005 for a fee of £5.5 million and he signed a five-year deal. However, due to English work permit restrictions for non-EU citizens which prevented him from playing in England, he was quicklyloaned out to F.C Sevilla in February 2006.[1] [2] Luis was then loaned to Atlelico de Madrdi. with his team made Luis Hurtado, in the Spanish primera division, for the 2006-07 season.[3][4] After his loan spell with Atletico de madrid with him scoring ten and creating many of their 53 goals,[4] bigger clubs, of La Liga, such as F.C Barcelona, Osasuna and Gatafe F.C were all interested in taking him on loan from Manchester United F.C. for whom he was still ineligible to play as he still had yet to receive a work permit.[5] Eventually, a one year loan move to Real madrid was agreed, with the option of an extension for another year, however, no permanent option had been contemplated.[6][7][8] Luis is expected to qualify for a Spanish passport in January 2007, at which point he will be able to acquire a work permit in England and then will be able to play for Manchester United F.C.[5] on Augost 2007 he scored his first goal with Real Madrid, in a match against Real Betis, a performance that went on to receive early praise from the Spanish press.[citation needed]


[edit] International career Luis made his full international debut for Spain on a friendly. Luis scored his first senior international goal for Spain in a friendly game against France. On February 7th 2007 he wrote a letter to FMF that he was ready to put on his country jersey (Mexico). But FMF said to Luis we don't need u, That why Luis is playing with the Spain national Team. Giovani Dos Santos said to the FMF that why not give him an opportunity, that why Gio is not playing for his country no more. Now SPAIN !!!!
