[edit] Biography

Guadalupe Lamora, "Lupe Lamora" is the girlfriend of drugs dealer Franz Sanchez; she despises him, but remains his girl out of fear. At story's start in Licence to Kill (1989) Sanchez catches her in post-coital conversation with a paramour; impressed, Sanchez whips her for disloyalty with a stingray tail, while, in the next room, his henchmen cut out the paramour's heart as an after-whipping valentine for her. He then sends her to await him aboard the "Wavecrest" research boat, operated by Sanchez's accomplice Milton Krest.

When Bond sneaks aboard to kill Sanchez, he finds Lupe in Krest's cabin; she keeps Bond's presence secret from Krest and Sanchez, so he may escape to Sanchez's base, the third-world, banana republic dictatorship of Isthmus, whose dictator is his employee. ln Isthmus, she helps Bond escape Sanchez's house. Later, she seeks him at his hotel; finding Pam Bouvier and Q she tells them Bond remains in Isthmus, and that she loves him. At story's end, however, Bond chooses Pam, and matches Lupe with President Lopez.

In a given adventure, Lupe Lamora is the only Bond girl more sexually promiscuous than James Bond as: (i) Sanchez's girlfriend;(ii) Bond's lover; (iii) a paramour's afternoon delight; and (iv) girlfriend (future first lady) of President Lopez. Lupe Lamora is an independent woman in the style created by Ian Fleming in the novels.
