Lungmen Nuclear Power Plant (formerly Gongliao Nuclear Power Plant or Fourth Nuclear Power Plant, often abbreviated as: traditional Chinese: 核四; pinyin: Hésì; Taiwanese: Hu̍t-sù or He̍k-sù; "Nuke 4"), located in Gongliao Township, is Taiwan's fourth nuclear power plant, consisting of two ABWRs each of 1350MWe. As of 2007, Unit 1 was expected to come online in July 2009, with Unit 2 following in July 2010. It is operated by Taiwan Power Company.
Construction of the plant began in 1997, but has been delayed by political controversy. In 2000, a decision to halt construction was a factor in the resignation of premier Tang Fei.
