[edit] Development

Since LundXY started first investing in companies in the online/ tech sector around the globe, the vision was always not only to make money but moving and supporting people to realize their ideas in most efficient and fastest ways. The founder Morten Lund plays different fields at the same time being majority shareholder of Nyhedsavisen, a free Newspaper and market leader in Denmark as well as being special member of Bill Clinton's Clinton Global Initiative[2]where LundXY is committing its financial power to development cases around the globe.

[edit] Global presence

The influence of LundXY on the creative tech scene as well as on numerous entrepreneurial trends and movements is remarkable and goes far over the Scandinavian borders. LundXY supports, for instance, the 2008 World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer of the Year Nikolaj Hyholm from Polar Rose[3] and was one of the earliest investors of Polar Rose and Imity (which was recetly bought by Zyb)[4]. Also Aresa A/S, WEF Technology Pioneer of the Year 2007, is financially supported by LundXY.

LundXY is part of the Digital Life Design Community DLD and Morten Lund, the architect and ideologist of LundXY was ranked as one of the most influential people in the tech industry[5]. Morten Lunds blog exceeds Local Newspapers in Denmark with more than 40,000 monthly readers.[citation needed]

Recent ventures include also the print media sector. LundXY co-founded Denmark’s now largest daily newspaper, Nyhedsavisen, a free newspaper, with the goal of transforming the nature of printed press by merging the offline distribution with an attractive online presence. [6] LundXY acquired a 51 per cent majority stake of Dagsbrun Media, which owns Hyhedsavisen, from Baugur Group the Icelandic investment firm. Lund XY is not only upping its stake but injecting working capital. The move comes 15 months after Baugur Group-controlled Dagsbrun Madia launched Nyhedsavisen and comes after the free news paper has made impressive progress in terms of distribution, readership and advertising revenues. Within 12 months of its launch in October 2006, it over took the established paid-for titles and rival free sheets to become the most read daily newspaper in Denmark .
