Lunataspis

Lunataspis aurora is the oldest known Xiphosuran and an ancestor of the modern horseshoe crab. Fossils found in northern Manitoba, Canada in 2005 have dated Lunataspis back to the Late Ordovician.[1] Lunataspis was formally described in an article published in Plaeontology.
