Lunaire was the fourth single released by Þeyr, a Icelandic New Wave/rock group in 1983. The single was recorded in June 1982 and issued by Gramm Records on a 7" vinyl record including three songs.
The title song "Lunaire" is considered as the most punk-oriented work of Þeyr, loaded with distorted guitars and rather futuristic sounds. "The Walk" is another of the group's highly experimental and original peices, it can be seen as one of few songs to successfully mix ska with mantra.
The mix was in charge of Tony Cook and Þeyr.
Þeyr’s members were:
- Vocalist: Magnús Guðmundsson.
- Guitars: Guðlaugur Kristinn Óttarsson and Þorsteinn Magnússon.
- Bass: Hilmar Örn Agnarsson.
- Drums: Sigtryggur Baldursson.
