Luna Park (Seattle)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Luna Park was an amusement park in Seattle, Washington which opened in 1907. Among other attractions, it was home to the spectacular Zeum Carousel. In 1913, a fire claimed the entire park but spared the carousel, which operates today in San Francisco, California. The park was never rebuilt, and the only visible reminder is when extreme low tides expose the original pilings. The name survives in such local businesses as the Luna Park Cafe.
