Luna 1969B
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Luna 1969B was the first Soviet attempt at an unmanned lunar sample return. It was probably similar in design to the later successful Luna 16 mission. It was launched, on a Proton rocket, on June 14, 1969. The launch failed for unknown reasons.
