[edit] License tagging for Image:IBat90&2minutes.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:IBat90&2minutes.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:IBat90&2minutesNEW.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:IBat90&2minutes.jpg. The copy called Image:IBat90&2minutes.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot (talk) 07:29, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image deletion

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:JohnGBarrettKCTM.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, this is in fact not the case[1][2]. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial. See our non-free content guidelines for more more information.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-3.0}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. James086Talk | Email 12:46, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image Rights for Image:DorianYates-RayMentzer.jpg; image:KirkMaillet&MikeMentzer2.jpg and Image:Dorian-yates.jpg

We have recieved an e-mail via OTRS about the copyright status of these images. The image tags indicate that you are the rights holder and that you took the images personally. To assist me with dealing with the enquiry, please can you confirm that this is correct and that you do definitely hold the rights to these images? I am sorry if this sounds a bit terse but I'm not allowed to publish the contents of any e-mails sent via OTRS so I'm kind of faced with having to simply ask the question. Thanks Spartaz Humbug! 21:12, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright Violation on Jim Jones the Peoples Temple use of Liberation theology

Hi, Lumal. The text in this edit was a direct copy of this book review and therefore, violates wikipedia's copyright policy. In addition, a book review on a book about Jones is irrelevant in an article about Jones. The actual facts about Jones himself (not the book reviewers take on a book) are what would be relevant. Finally, it was largely repetitive of the rest of the article. Mosedschurte (talk) 20:37, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
