[edit] Luminox information is only from Luminox itself

I created this article and I understand that the sources are only from the corporation itself. It is true that the corporation is small and probobly does not have a major effect on civilians. However, I know for a fact that the watches are specially designed for the NAVY seals. I know that there is some third party source that can verify this. I would appreciate it if someone could locate a source. By the way, I am not and have never been involved as with Luminox. ==longwalkshortpier==

Luminox Navy Seal Dive watch, rated # five out of the top seven dive watches for men on about.com's dive page. I have known some people who own them, they are available in the civilian world. http://scuba.about.com/cs/apparelnovelties/tp/mensdivewatch.htm. Additionally this article outlines some of Luminox's history. http://ezinearticles.com/?History-of-Luminox-watches&id=251546 -RedTen

[edit] notability; secondary sources

Hello,

it is currently unclear whether Luminox is notable enough to be included on Wikipedia. By the notability criteria for companies, independent reliable sources are required to make sure that the subject is notable. As has been remarked above, there are currently no secondary sources given in the article, only information from the company itself.

The link to e-zine given above is a start, but it is not sufficient: That web site hosts user-generated content (more or less) and as such it is not considered reliable. Also other advert/sales sites cannot establish notability. Valid reliable secondary sources would include independent books about the history of Luminox, or newspaper articles covering the company (not simple press releases or marketing material, however). See WP:CORP for details.

Please add secondary sources to the article. If no secondary sources can be found, the article might get deleted from Wikipedia.

For the time being, I am resetting the date counter of the “notability” warning tag. Sorted as part of the Notability wikiproject. --B. Wolterding 16:31, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
