[edit] Sources
In answer to a question you raised on the AfD (which didn't seem the place to reply): you can find the relevant official policy at Wikipedia:Sources. In brief: use a secondary source (a book, a newspaper, a website: it doesn't have to be online, it doesn't even have to be in English, but it does have to be independent of the subject of the article) to establish that this is something of "note"; once that is established, you can use primary sources to flesh out the content (as you point out that article on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms does). The main problem with DW Three Kingdoms is that there is no indication that this is anything more than promotional material. You need to present evidence that there is wider interest in the company or its product (news coverage, reviews, etc.) before you draw on their own documentation or the contents of the book itself. As things stand, my advice would be to add a couple of sentences about this new English retelling to Romance of the Three Kingdoms#Cultural references and turn the articles you created into redirect pages to that, then revisit the issue in six months time armed with book reviews from reputable journals/websites/fanzines. --Paularblaster (talk) 21:01, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Userspace
Something you might consider doing while you work out what to do with the material is to create a page where you can tinker with it before relaunching it into article mainspace, something like User:Lukedddd/Heroes. --Paularblaster (talk) 08:32, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- Good idea, yea I'll try that - like a draft page or something. I probably should have done this in the first place, if I'd known I could.
[edit] AfD nomination of DW Three Kingdoms
An editor has nominated DW Three Kingdoms, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/DW Three Kingdoms and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 15:14, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:DW3K.COM Logo.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:DW3K.COM Logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 01:32, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Three Kingdoms- Resurrection of the Dragon.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Three Kingdoms- Resurrection of the Dragon.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:26, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Discussing_Heroes.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Discussing_Heroes.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 10:52, 7 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 10:52, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
