[edit] Speedy deletion of Simptimes
A tag has been placed on Simptimes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please don't keep recreating deleted content. Friday (talk) 17:04, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Simptimes
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Simptimes, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. nancy 18:30, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Simptimes
Simptimes, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Simptimes satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Simptimes and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Simptimes during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. nancy 20:01, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] November 2007
Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Pigy and Simptimes. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. nancy 08:56, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Blocked
I have blocked you from editing due to your interference with the deletion discussions on the articles you wrote. If you give some indication that you're willing to try to understand what Wikipedia is about and contribute constructively, following our content guidelines, I'll unblock you. But what you can't do is just interfere with what others are doing. If you have a reason the articles shouldn't be deleted, the right thing to do is to express your opinion in the deletion discussion. Friday (talk) 18:29, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Simptimes
The Simptimes article in Wikipedia was wrote by my, Luke Farrelly-Spain. What you may not of notced is that im only 11.
- Please read WP:COI to learn about conflict of interest issues that could arise by writing an article about yourself, or about your own company or creation. Also, please read WP:NOTABILITY to learn about what makes something notable enough to deserve it's own article. Not every topic deserves to have it's own article on Wikipedia, and a comic that is written by you but not actually published by anybody probably fails to be sufficiently notable, which is why there is a discussion going on about that very question. If you feel that the comic is indeed notable, you're welcome to participate in that discussion by posting your own point of view and arguments. However, you cannot simply remove the AfD notifications from the articles to make the deletion discussion go away and hope that it therefor stops your articles from being deleted. --Maelwys (talk) 19:47, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Unblocked
Howdy. I've unblocked you for now since you seem willing to discuss and you appear to want to contribute. So, as long as you don't interfere with the deletion discussions, or create more unverifiable articles, you should be fine. Friday (talk) 16:53, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
If you're looking for a place to publish your comics, Wikipedia isn't it. However I'm sure there are any number of other places where you can get a free website, to do with as you please. Friday (talk) 19:43, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit]
I deleted this image because half of it was taken from the logo of The Simpsons. I don't think you can put derivative works under the GFDL this way. Also, there's probably little point uploading your cartoons, even if they're legal. They don't appear to serve any encyclopedic purpose. Friday (talk) 20:47, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Jeb (Simptimes)
A tag has been placed on Jeb (Simptimes) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. - Please take note that any further pages that you create to profile the characters in your comic will be similarly deleted. Wikipedia isn't an open resource for anybody to write about anything they please, or for sharing your personal projects. Like any other encyclopedia, Wikipedia is only meant for reporting on significant events and items. Unless your cartoon gets bought by a publisher, printed, and sells a significant amount, it's not going to be suitable for articles here on Wikipedia. Sorry. --Maelwys (talk) 20:56, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Reblocked
You have to stop making articles about your comic characters. Content in Wikipedia must be verifiable from a reliable source. Since these comics are unpublished, it's quite unlikely that any reliable sources are talking about them. Do you understand that Wikipedia isn't a place for you to write whatever you want? [edit] License tagging for Image:Aye-Aye.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Aye-Aye.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --OrphanBot (talk) 21:05, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
