From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Luke Toyne is a British presenter and producer of television and events.
He first found his passion for presenting as a teenager hosting hospital radio. This led him to train as a journalist and from 2000 he freelanced as a producer including the award-winning series 'Poker Night Live'; plus commercials, pop promos for bands (including the Sneaker Pimps single 'Sick'), and channel branding for clients including The American Government, Sky, Cartoon Network, Mars, Hat Trick Productions and Home Choice.
In 2003 he started working his way up through the smaller Sky channels developing a reputation as a funny, natural presenter with a flair for live broadcasting. In 2005 he joined Optimistic Entertainment to host live quiz formats 'Pop The Q' - MTV Hits & TMF and 'Quiznation' , plus cover on their radio co-production with Somethin' Else - 'Cash Call' for GCap Media on 42 stations around the UK, while freelancing as presenter or producer for other production companies.
Luke currently pioneers viewer generated content on his second series of The Media Trust's 'Charge' and occasionally produces for the show. He also presents 'Robots Live' - the roadshow tour of Robot Wars - and hosts and manages entertainment and corporate events for clients including Dunnhumby, O2, the 2012 Olympics and Random House.
