Luke Rooney (born 16 January 1983, Penrith, New South Wales) is an Australian professional rugby league player for the Penrith Panthers in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. His position of choice is at wing. Rooney has represented for City Origin, New South Wales and Australia.
Rooney made his debut in 2001 against the Canberra Raiders on 21 April (Round 10). He is a member of the 2003 Premiership winning team, scoring two tries in the 18–6 win over the Sydney Roosters .
