Lucas "Luke" Morgan was a fictional character on long-running Channel 4 British television soap opera Hollyoaks.
He was played by actor Gary Lucy between 1999-2002.
[edit] Character history
Luke was very talented at football, and was friends with Darren Osborne and was boyfriend to Mandy Richardson. In the late-night spin-off Hollyoaks: Breaking Boundaries Luke was bullied by Mark Gibbs for a while and when Luke finally stood up to him, Mark raped him. His relationship with Mandy ended soon after because he couldn't tell anyone what happened about the rape, and she thought he was cheating on her. Lukes's best mate Darren then made a move on Mandy but they fizzled out as a couple, then Mandy began dating Ben Davies, Luke realised he was still in love with her but was too ashamed to tell her the truth.
Luke finally told people about the rape but his father, Andy, didn't believe him which caused ructions in the Morgan house. However his ex-girlfriend Mandy offered Luke her support after the abuse she suffered at the hands of her father. Mark harassed Luke to drop the case and made out that no-one would believe him, but eventually the case went to court and Luke won. Luke then left for a new life. He did return briefly, though, and had a fling with Mandy when they realised they still had feelings for one another. However, Mandy was going out with Luke's brother Adam at the time.
