Luke Kennard is a British poet, playwright and academic.

His first prose-poems collection - The Solex Brothers was published by Stride, and won him an Eric Gregory Award in 2005) (reissued by Salt in 2007 ISBN 978-1-84471-411-7). His second book - The Harbour Beyond The Movie (ISBN 978-1-84471-307-3) - was published by Salt in 2007, and was shortlisted for the 2007 Forward Poetry Prize (Best Collection). At 26, he is the youngest nominee ever in the history of the Forward Poetry Prizes.

He edits the occasional poetry journal popularity contest and edits and contributes to the poetry journal Succour. He is part of the comedy collective Pegabovine, and has won awards with them for comic writing at the National Student Drama Festival.

He is married and lives and works in Exeter.
