Luke Duval Vu is a self-taught fashion, beauty, and celebrity photographer. His photographs are stylized, edgy, and avant-garde, with images that captures mood and sensuality, while telling stories with the revelatory power of beauty.[1]

[edit] Biography
Duval was born in Saigon, Vietnam and immigrated to the United States in 1980. He was raised by his grandparents Chi Vu and Cuc Nguyen. His grandfather was an artist and his grandmother was a business woman. Together, they taught him the value of a good education and leadership skills.
After high school, he was accepted into UCLA and gradutated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in 1997 and later a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Western University of Health Sciences in 2001. He was on his way with a career as a Pharmacist, but all that changed with one strange dream.[2] He literally woke up the next morning and decided to pursue photography as his career despite his lack of knowledge in the field. He taught himself photography and studied lighting from fashion magazines.[3]
In 2007, he married Jacqueline Dang.

His photography career started in 2004 with the purchse of his first camera. In 2006, his hard work finally paid off and he was honored with the Non-Professional International Photography Awards for Photographer of the Year in all three categories of Advertising, Fashion, and Beauty. In 2007, he got his first major break into the fashion photography world when he won the prestigious 10th Annual Avant Guardian Award by Surface (magazine). His work has since appeared in Harper's Bazaar, Surface (magazine), Noi.se, just to name a few. He has also shot for advertising campaigns for Vidal Sassoon and Aneka Beauty.
