Luke Covell (born November 9, 1981 in Goondiwindi, Queensland) is an Australian-born New Zealand rugby league player for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the National Rugby League competition, he also previously played for the Wests Tigers. His position of choice is on the wing.

Covell played early football for the Murwillumbah Colts.

Covell is known for his lack of speed and agility but is one of the best finishers in the game,also cementing a spot as one of the best goalkickers in the NRL.

In 2007 Covell made his Test Debut for New Zealand against Australia.

Because of his great presence in defence, this has prompted Phil Gould to nickname him "the cooler"

Luke Covell attended Mount Saint Patrick College Murwillumbah and represented the school in Rugby Leaugue.
