Istočno Novo Sarajevo (Cyrillic: Источно Ново Сарајево), formerly known as Srpsko Novo Sarajevo (Cyrillic: Српско Ново Сарајево) and Lukavica (Cyrillic: Лукавица), is a municipality in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was created from part of the pre-war municipality of Novo Sarajevo (the other part of the pre-war municipality is now in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina). Istočno Novo Sarajevo is one of six municipalities that make city of Istočno Sarajevo. There have been some proposals for the municipality to be merged with that of Istočna Ilidža.[1]
