[edit] Infobox
If you're dealing with someone who is a polymath like that, it can be difficult to use an infobox (see Martin Lewis for a case where the subject has so many disciplines no one has bothered to attempt an infobox) . The best suggestion I could give you is for you to visit Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography and put the question to the editors involved with that project. They might be able to provide some guidance. You could always just use a generic Biography Infobox (there's a link to the template from the Wikiproject page) rather than try and nail down a particular style. If your subject is considered preeminent in one of the fields you mentioned, then you could probably pick a single style of infobox. For example, Hedy Lamarr was a noted inventor as well as an actress, but because she is is more widely regarded as an actress, an Arts and Entertainment-related infobox is more appropriate than one used for inventors (although it appears only a generic infobox was actually used for her). I hope this helps. 23skidoo 17:07, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding edits made to Þeyr
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Luis María Benítez! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \bvids\.myspace\.com\b, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. [edit] The Juniper Tree
I've tried to change the plot sumary of The Juniper Tree, please tell me what you think. You say that it's Jónas mother that apears, I've just re-watched the movie, and it is Margit's mother. Watch it again, she sais "I've seen my mother, By the see, and on the heath. I couldn't remember before. But now I do". Then Jónas mother comes as a raven with a feather. I don't think it's important to the plot sumary, so I left it out, if you want you can re-add it somehow. But Guðrún Gísladóttir dose NOT play Jónas mother, she's Margits mother.
The Juniper Tree is set in Iceland and portrays the story of two sisters, Margit and her elder sister Katla, who escape theyr home after theyr mother is stoned and burned for witchcraft. They go where no one knows them, and find Jóhann, a young widower who has a son called Jónas. Katla uses masical powers to seduce Jóhann and they start living together. Margit and Jónas become friend. But Jónas dose not exept his new stepmother, and tries to convince his father to leave her, but the powers of Katla's magic is to strong and even though he knows he should leave her, he can't.

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Cold Fever (DVD).jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Cold Fever (DVD).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:29, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Commercial use of Image:Þeyr and Megas (Skálholtskirkja April 15 2006).jpg
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Þeyr and Megas (Skálholtskirkja April 15 2006).jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Þeyr and Megas (Skálholtskirkja April 15 2006).jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).
If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Þeyr and Megas (Skálholtskirkja April 15 2006).jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 05:29, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk pageif you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.--Android Mouse Bot 207:52, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:VAKI-DNG_(Catch_sensor).JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:VAKI-DNG_(Catch_sensor).JPG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 03:40, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Björk_Guðmundsdóttir_&_Tríó_Guðmundar_Ingólfssonar.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Björk_Guðmundsdóttir_&_Tríó_Guðmundar_Ingólfssonar.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:36, 28 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 12:36, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Björk (Family Tree Beats).jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Björk (Family Tree Beats).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:42, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Megasukk (Hús Datt).jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Megasukk (Hús Datt).jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 22:38, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Brennu-Njálssaga (film)
I have nominated Brennu-Njálssaga (film), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brennu-Njálssaga (film). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Brennu-Njálssaga (introduction).jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Brennu-Njálssaga (introduction).jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:10, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Megas_LMB2b.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Megas_LMB2b.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 22:49, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
