[edit] Deletion Repeal
You deleted the article Gharaibeh. Just the day before I put the tag in requesting a stay on deletion as i am in the process of gathering information. 1 day is insufficient to gather the information. Please read the history & comments before removing the article, as the article does not qualify for speedy deletion because it's validity is disputed. It should have been moved to the AfD page for consideration. Please restore the article so I can finish updating it. Viscouse 17:40, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Change of Cheap Sunglasses to a redirect.
After Cheap Sunglasses was tagged as a speedy delete, you changed it to a redirect to Degüello. However, before the deletion notice was added, a (relatively) significant part of the article was deleted (diff). I think that the article should stay as it was instead of a redirect. Your thoughts? --Daniel Olsen 05:43, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rhodri philipps
Hi, another admin has informed me that you speedy deleted the article above. It had been nominated because of missing notability. I have reverted the article Viscount St Davids, where User:Robertaroland (the same User who has created the article Rhodri philipps) has tried to insert a link (see [1]). It seems now that his creation was about the oldest son und heir of Colwyn Philipps, 3rd Viscount St Davids (through this of course notable), but failed to pipe the redlink and to mention the connection in the text. So would you please revert the deletion, if his creation wasn't absolute rubbish? Greetings ~~ Phoe talk 16:07, 7 November 2006 (UTC) ~~
- Unfortunately, simply being the son of someone notable does not make you notable. Once the current Viscount St Davids dies, an article will be created for the new one. Luigi30 (Taλk) 21:16, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- Hi, sorry but this isn't right. As oldest son he is automatically Heir-Apparent and as such he is notable. I quote from Wikipedia:Notability (royalty): # British Peers and holders of courtesy titles (i.e. heirs apparent), as well as those holding the Scottish substantive title of "Master" or "Mistress" given to heirs are automatically notable, as are their spouses. Articles on spouses may be merged with articles on Peers if there is little chance of their articles becoming more than stubs. Other relations of British peers only qualify if they qualify under WP:BIO. Greetings ~~ Phoe talk 22:30, 7 November 2006 (UTC) ~~
- Oh, royalty. I was thinking Paris Hilton's sister or whatever it was there was an argument about last month. Luigi30 (Taλk) 22:31, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Erm, I don't understand what you want to say with the last sentence. Maybe do you want to tell me that you do not accept my argument? ~~ Phoe talk 22:56, 7 November 2006 (UTC) ~~
- I was saying I was thinking royalty fell under the celebrity banner instead of its own, I was agreeing with you actually :P Luigi30 (Taλk) 01:24, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, it is nice that you agree with me, but why do you not have restored the deleted article then? Is there still an obstacle or another problem? By the way, you have seen the text, I'am not. So if you say to me that it was rubbish and trash, I will believe it and the matter has been settled for me. However I would hate it to lost a eventually good stub, only because his creator had forgotten to mention the subject's notability. Best wishes ~~ Phoe talk 17:36, 8 November 2006 (UTC) ~~

Tonight the Main site of the german Wikipedia was vandalized with pictures of her. It seems there's somebody who don't like her or he means that such idiotism is funny. [edit] Deletion of Article "E-Murda
At first there were a few problems with the article stated above, but logging on this evening (November 9, 2006) I saw that the page was tagged for speedy deletion, and then altogether deleted. Now, I first saw this article tagged for speedy deletion, and fixed what was wrong with it by showing his notoriety as per Wikipedia's standards. Now then, the article was tagged at 06:20, 9 November 2006 (UTC) by user RobJ1981, and then deleted at 13:45, 9 November 2006 by you. I was given 13 hours, based off your deletion, to fix it. There's a problem though, I have school to attend, and don't come straight home, and even if I did that wouldn't have been enough time to fix it. So I am formally requesting that you reinstate the E-Murda page so that I may fix it, and bring it up to Wikipedia's standards. Sincerely yours, Matt Kodner Kodface 11/9/06 10:09 pm (CST)

[edit] deletion of "erin shapero"
Hi Luigi30 - please can you return the page "erin shapero" - it was deleted incorrectly ie it is not election spam -- the page existed long before and was unrelated to any election, it has nothing to do with "election" it is a profile of an politician in office for over 10 years - the article is linked to by many other wikipedia articles and websites. Erin is a huge supporter of wikipedia, directing people to visit many people here, and was upset to see after over a year her profile disappear. It includes biographical and issues-related information. What is your process for determing elected official deletions? If Erin's is to be legitimately deleted, you must also remove: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalton_mcguinty for the same reason. Many thanks(webmaster on behalf of Erin Shapero) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.112.101.6 (talk) 17:39, 9 December 2006 (UTC).

[edit] Next Generation Data Center
I was in the process of posting an industry term. I had not completed the linking and source articles yet, but it is a term that Tim O'Reilly coined that is fast being picked up as an industry term by journalists, analysts and businesses. There are several conferences, news articles and blogs about this as a term to consolidate industry. Not to mention several companies building products specifically for this type of a business. I had been editing the article for 30 minutes and you deleted it and it was no where near finished. At least mark it for a day so that contributors have a chance to finish it.
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Garrysmod.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:Garrysmod.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Why deleting Vlada Frey?
Why have you deleted Vlada frey? I saw many people getting in his defense on article discussion page. All you "wikipedians" had in your defense is bunch of dumb rules YOU made up. You people act like you have all the knowledge of the world and if there's someone you actually haven't heard of, then that person is not worthy of your precious wikipedia. So what if Vlada doesn't have a web page? Is the internet only thing deserving merit to you? I have read a lot of magazines and newspaper articles mentioning Vlada. But, hey, they are all Eastern European, you haven't heard of them, right? And, ofcourse, that means they are not worthy. For crying out loud, man, get a little more flexible, will you? I ask for detailed answer, as why are you people so stubborn about your rules, the article didn't stated anything bizarre, sick or offending? P.S. Since the article was in process of debate, and your "rules" state that the page in this process should remain intact for seven days, why has the page been deleted two days earlier?
- Your opinion, while valued, is slightly biased due to you being the creator of the article in question. For that reason, I chose to follow WP:SNOW, stating that an overwhelmingly stacked vote can be closed early, and deleted the article. Luigi30 (Taλk) 00:07, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hello! Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vlada Frey is being discussed at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2007 January 30. Though you might like to know! All the best, Angus McLellan (Talk) 01:31, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Page deletion
Hi, I think you deleted a page I just made. I found a request for it here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requested_articles/Social_Sciences_and_Philosophy#Modern_Biblical_Allusions Did I do something wrong in creating it, or is it just a bad request? SmilesALot 15:45, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- I don't see anything in my log about deleting a page called Modern Biblical Allusions. However, sometimes page titles are listed there but are not appropriate for Wikipedia. Luigi30 (Taλk) 15:54, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- I must have messed up the link. The page was called "None dare call it conspiracy". SmilesALot 16:05, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi Luigi30, on 12 September 2006, you deleted the article Chuck Fender, citing the reason "nn band". [edit] Weaver109
Weaver109 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log) has repeatedly recreated and the rest of her/his contribs appear to be nothing but vandalism. [edit] Deletion of Image:Burnitup.jpg
Why was this image (Image:Burnitup.jpg) deleted? I thought that there was strong fair use justification (small image used to illustrate the artist's unique work), plus the copyright owner (Ai Kijima) explicitly granted permission to use the image in Wikipedia. If only images that have been released under the GFDL are permissible, and such use is not considered fair use, then I do not understand how Wikipedia can reasonably expect to show sample artworks by many modern or comtemporary artists. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Klyber (talk • contribs) 16:46, 27 February 2007 (UTC).
- Images released for Wikipedia use only or non-commercial use only are disallowed because they may in the future be included in a commercial product or non-Wikipedia project. Hence they are deleted. Please read the image policy if you have any questions. Luigi30 (Taλk) 16:57, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- Do the fair use tags serve any purpose at all, then? The image copyright policy implies that fair use is a justification for including images in Wikipedia. Klyber 17:06, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- Is it fair use or non-commercial use? You contradicted yourself and said it was both. Luigi30 (Taλk) 17:10, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- I don't understand the contradiction. They are independent justifications for including the material on Wikipedia. Pretending for a moment that the artist had not explicitly given permission to use the work on Wikipedia, would this image be allowed as a fair use? Klyber 17:14, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- As long as there is no for non-commercial use or no derivative works clauses, yes. It just can't be licensed for Wikipedia use only because it may be put on a fork in the future, questioning the status. Luigi30 (Taλk) 17:18, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- OK, so I should just ignore the fact that the artist gave permission to include the article here, and re-upload it as a fair use only? Seems odd, but I will do that if that is what it takes to keep the image there. In the meantime, I will go back to the artist and see if it is possible to get a fully-fledged GFDL license. Is that a reasonable plan of attack? Klyber 17:32, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Albion (band)
Please could you explain in what way this article fails to fulfil the Notability (music) criteria? Albion has two members who have each had several top 20 hits, have recorded albums for major labels toured extensively and have also written top 20 hits for other artists. The band has already played at several major venues, and was the headline act at all of them. I also included external links to numerous press reports from established UK newspapers verifying the information. Jud 03:59, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
From Wikipedia:Notability (music)
Important note: Failing to satisfy the notability guidelines is not a criterion for speedy deletion. An article that fails to even claim that the subject of the article is notable can be speedily deleted under criterion A7, however. A mere claim of notability, even if contested, may avoid deletion under A7 and require a full Article for Deletion process to determine if the subject of the article is notable
From Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion Non-criteria
Non-notable subjects with their importance asserted: Articles that have obviously non-notable subjects are still not eligible for speedy deletion unless the article "does not assert the importance or significance of its subject". If the article gives a claim that might be construed as making the subject notable, it should be taken to a wider forum.
I initiated a discussion on the original article talk page giving my reasons for claiming notability, with verifiable links to external information sources. The speed with which you deleted the article leads me to question whether you actually read it, or the references, or whether you just looked at the discussion on the talk page, which contained a totally inaccurate statement that all the external links were to Myspace.
I would therefore be most grateful if you would look at this article again, and consider reinstating it, if you still have doubts then tag it for non-notability and possible deletion, so that it can be taken to a wider forum Jud 07:03, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- It was deleted 4 times, not just by me. If you think it meets notability requirements, take it to deletion review. Luigi30 (Taλk) 14:18, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
That is incorrect. If you check the appropriate page log you will see that the original article was deleted once, the second deletion of my re-edit was subsequently reverted by the admin concerned. Please try not to be so hasty in future. Jud 15:20, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
An editor has asked for a deletion review of Albion (band). Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article or speedy-deleted it, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Jud 17:35, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] When you aren't sure if something is notable...
Thanks for creating Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Samuel Krauss. Often, if you aren't sure about an article, it's best to tag it with {{notability}} rather than taking it to AfD. Other editors may see the tag and improve the article or leave a note on the talk page explaining why the subject is notable. --Eastmain 04:57, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Articles for deletion/Samuel Krauss
Hi Luigi30: You nominated Samuel Krauss for deletion (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Samuel Krauss.) However, it would have been nice if you would have informed the original creator of this article that you were doing so. Instead, it was left to User:Selket to do so[4], see User talk:Kendrick7#Better? Kindly note that on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion#How to list pages for deletion it advises that: "...'It is generally considered civil to notify the good-faith creator and any main contributors of the articles that you are nominating for deletion. Do not notify bot accounts or people who have made only insignificant 'minor' edits. To find the main contributors, look in the page history or talk page of the article and/or use TDS' Article Contribution Counter. For your convenience, you may use {{subst:AFDWarningNew|Article title}} (for creators who are totally new users), {{subst:AFDWarning|Article title}} (for creators), or {{subst:Adw|Article title}} (for contributors or established users)." Thank you for noting this for future purposes. IZAK 05:43, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Tetra Pak
Hi Luigi. FYI... I am restoring Tetra Pak as a stub. I agree that the article looked more as an ad but starting it from scratch again would help. Cheers. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up ® 16:48, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WRA2 Class ‘A’ Water Rocket World Record Rules
You deleted the page WRA2 Class ‘A’ Water Rocket World Record Rules on March 1st. It's been recreated - just thought I'd let you know...- Ozzykhan 01:00, 4 March 2007 (UTC) ==Category:Mainland China building and structure stubs== I am afraid it was not eligible for speedy. The corresponding stub template was modified in a way that stubs were no longer feeding into this category, therefore this category was emptied. There was never any discussion to justify the move to empty this category. Category:Mainland China geography stubs, a similar category, was saved from being speedied and was brought to SFD. It would be better to do likewise with this category. — Instantnood 11:54, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] John Mullen
You have deleted a page by mistake. The page John Mullen was not spam. it was about a real person who ha made local changes of note. there are others on this site such as: Cllr mullen Should appear under Valid refrences to the source (http://www.salford.gov.uk) was given. can you please re-check this entry and restore please Generalmartok 14:18, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, Mullen does not meet notability requirements simply by being a councillor. Hazel Blears is an MP, not a councillor. Luigi30 (Taλk) 16:55, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fudo-Shin Kai Martial Arts Association
My friend, I don't understand why you would delete a work in progress but my organization is very curious to know why. -user:GhostofTorment
[edit] Waldorf Education
Hi there,
Please can you explain this deletion. I was unaware of this deletion [5], and as the article contained important and relatively developed info I am not sure it should have been. Also it should have been merged into Waldorf Education and redirected to avoid GDFL license issues. I look forward to your comments. Cheers Lethaniol 22:37, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- Please could you reply to this question, as I am currently working on Waldorf Education, and at the very least would like access to the deleted article content so I can merge it into the main article. Cheers Lethaniol 12:31, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
