Luiz Del Monte (born March 9, 1980) is a Brazilian football player, nicknamed Dynamo because of his dynamic style. Luiz is currently playing as midfielder for the New Zealand football clubs Central United FC and Auckland City FC.

Luiz Del Monte played in Brazil , United States , Finland and now in New Zealand . Luiz left Brazil in 1999 to pursue a soccer scholarship at a University in America. He enrolled at Harris Stowe State College in August of 1999 and played there for 2 very successful seasons. Luiz then transferred to Creighton University where he played for another 2 successful years and graduated with a double major degree in International Business and Finance.

2007 Chatham Cup
Luiz and his team from Central United won the prestigious 2007 Chatham Cup. The 2007 Chatham Cup final was played on September 2, 2007 in Auckland. Central United FC (Auckland) won by 10-9 on penalties after extra time. See more: NZ Soccer | NZ Herald
2007 Jack Batty Memorial Cup
Luiz Del Monte was awarded the 2007 Batty Memorial Cup for his outstanding performance in the Chatham Cup. The Jack Batty Memorial Cup is presented annually to the player adjudged to have made to most positive impact in the Chatham Cup final. The trophy was donated by Jack's son, John Batty, himself a Chatham Cup winner with Blockhouse Bay, Auckland, New Zealand in 1970.

Oceania Club Championship 2006
Luiz Del Monte was part of the squad of Auckland City FC to represent New Zealand in the Oceania Champions League. Auckland won the Oceania Club Championship 2006 held at North Harbour Stadium by beating AS Pirae 3-1 in the final. The Oceania title ensured Auckland City FC to play in the FIFA Club World Championship 2006.
1999
Luiz Del Monte, a midfielder for the Harris-Stowe State College Hornets, is the 1999 AMC Freshman of the Year. Del Monte, who hails from Brazil, provided the Hornets with instant offensive firepower upon his arrival this season. He scored 13 goals and assisted on 12 more, leading HSSC to the AMC regular-season championship.
