Luiz Carvalho

Luiz Francisco Teixeira de Carvalho (born March 22, 1962 in São Paulo, Brazil) former breaststroke swimmer for Esporte Clube Pinheiros and the Brazilian National team from 1975 to 1986. Started competitive swimming when he was 10 years old, won his first age-group national title in Curitiba in early 1975. During his career, won several individual Brazilian and South American Championships and records.
He participated in the following main events as part of the Brazilian National Swimming Team:

- World University Games (1983 Summer Universiade) 1983 - Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
- 1984 Summer Olympic Games - Los Angeles, USA
- World University Games (1985 Summer Universiade) - Kobe, Japan
