Luis Franco

Luis Franco Vazquez (b. January 14, 1986 ) is a Cuban amateur boxer best known for participating at the Olympics in 2004 at featherweight.

Franco won the junior world championships in 2000 at the age of 14. He lost the 2003 national bantamweight final to Guillermo Rigondeaux and went up to featherweight.
In 2004 he lost the national featherweight final to Exer Rodriguez but was sent to the Olympics anyway where he lost to Vitali Tajbert.
In 2005 he became national featherweight champion, in 2006 he defeated Yordan Frometa but lost the final to Yuriolkis Gamboa, in 2007 he lost early to Iván Onate.
In 2008 he went up to lightweight where he lost the quarterfinal to world star Yordenis Ugas.
