Luis Fernández Gutiérrez, (born 29 September 1972 in Cantabria) is a Spanish footballer that currently plays for Racing de Santander of the Spanish La Liga, as a left back defender.

Luis Fernández made his La Liga debut for Racing de Santander against Atlético Madrid on May 24, 1994. He featured in more than 50 La Liga games before being transferred to Real Betis.

Luis Fernández consistently appeared as Real Betis's left back for over 10 years. He featured in the UEFA Champions League for the Seville club in 2005. He returned to his first club, Racing de Santander in 2006.
