Luigi Lavecchia (born 25 August 1981 in Turin) is an Italian footballer. Luigi Lavecchia is a midfielder for Bologna F.C. 1909.
He was born in Turin and started out as a youth player with home-town club Turin. He found opportunities hard to come by at Juve and moved on to play for Brescello in Serie C1 for the 2000/1 season. Lavecchia then had spells in Serie B with four different clubs - Crotone, Ascoli, Messina and Arezzo - before signing a loan deal with French Ligue 1 club Le Mans. After just one league appearance in France, he returned to Sicily and re-signed for Messina in summer 2006. On summer 2007 he signed for Bologna F.C. 1909. Lavecchia may not always hit the headlines, but he is a reliable and hard-working player.
