Luigi Gaspari

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Luigi Gaspari (1929 - 1995) was an Italian mystic writer.

Gaspari prophesied a future canonization of Czar Nicholas II[citation needed]. The czar was later canonized August 20, 2000 in Moscow with an official ceremony at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.

During a conference held in a small town in the south of Italy, he forecasted a future religious war against Christianity.[citation needed]

From 1968 to 1995, Luigi Gaspari travelled over much to Italy and Europe and held more than 156 conferences in Austria, Russia, France, and Belgium.

[edit] Religious Views and Writings

Gaspari wrote the Book of Love. He left more than a thousand writings unpublished[citation needed].

He recommended reconciliation with the Orthodox and Protestant churches and promoted a "love of God" philosophy while vigorously struggling against what he saw as the errors diffused by the 2nd Vatican Concilium.

[edit] Criticism

Gaspari's opponents consider him to be a founder of a marginal Catholic group. He was accused by the Catholic church of diffusing theological errors and personal Bible interpretations[citation needed]. A conference scheduled in a major basilicas in the capital and initially approved by the Vatican was later prohibited by them for unspecified reasons, possibly as a result of these disagreements.
