Ludwig Koch (Vienna 1866-1934) was, in his time, a renowned equestrian painter responsible for many of the great horse paintings of his time. Sometime in the 1920's he migrated to the United States where, in his lifetime, he was almost completely ignored.

Today his paintings are beloved primarily by horse lovers the world over.
