A work in progress is a work not completed, but it can be more than that , it can be a finished work but like a living thing supple and changing. The mind is a work in progress, a work never complete - everything added is gain, a new addition, a change, a revision. Changing but Unchanging.

Sentience is my big thing, but understanding sentience as a science kind of puts us above other people () - I can see inside us and see the little cogs and gears. Your intelligence doesn't impress me but then mine doesn't either, most of us humans rate our own intelligence far to highly. - In a strict test there seems little difference between human and animal intelligence. Where we are as people isn't just a matter of our intelligence it is a situation of power created by environment, dominance, and aggression.
There are three things that put us above other animals.
The first is the invention of a permanent memory - called writing. A true measure of our intelligence is that we lived for almost a million years before we even invented writing - effectively without speech. It is writing and above all reading that puts human sentience above that of other animals.
The second is that we are a large effective and highly efficient predator.. Humans herd like herbivores yet hunt and eat like predators, this makes us very strong. Meat eating gives us high biological efficiency and the time to work on other things.
The third is the gift from our monkey relatives - the hand and hand-eye-brain unit. This is what makes us an efficient tool maker and it is this that gave us all the gifts of material wealth - from the knife and bow, to the house, even to todays technology..

Looking at the history of science shows us that people never learn, formal Establishment scientists have a long history for predicting stupidly that X will be impossible - from flight, to the steam train, high pressure steam, AC electricity, radio, television, computers, the atomic bomb, the jet engine, the submarine, miniaturization, going to the moon, etc, etc, etc. - Every one of these was criticized, called a vast waste of money, dangerous, and dismissed out of hand. (ok some are dangerous. Ha Ha He He.)

The really stupid assumption is to think that big science has finished with such mistakes. I have substantive proof that Relativity is a Joker in the modern science deck. Once the joker goes wild all the other cards get thrown up in the air and all the men in white coats start to cry.

'The Joker' (in part) - a while ago I worked out the basic properties of Tachyonic matter and discovered that it really does exist, all you have to do is look below the Quantum Limit, in fact the universe may even be made of tachyonic rather than tardyonic matter. The properties of tachyons fit perfectly if you put them in the right kind of bubble, and we even know that this kind of bubble exists thanks to Relativity. (A perfect symbol for Rel is the snake eating itself.)
The only key that formal science hasn't had for decades is a way to map the tachyons mass but in reality the map is ridiculously simple. Einstein spent twenty years trying to solve this problem but failed - maybe because he never found the key. The key is a simple piece of maths a child can follow- 1 x 1 = root(1) 1 x -1 = root(-1) . - The negative root base number is simply a superposition of a single number of positive and negative signs. - The joke is that this is a piece of maths we already know and come across all the time, like in drawing a circle using Pythagoras or in the Quadratic Factoring Formula or in standard factorization. You may not like this answer but it allows us to directly compute values for i the imaginary number, and it solves half the problems in modern science including tachyons. - superposition really is the key to everything. Once you know this you can do any calculation involving tachyons. Go a little deeper and you find a something I now call the New Unified Model, a solution that resolves the conflict between three different physics worlds - Quantum, Relativistic, and classical, to leave a completely new unified physics. (Requires a little more - ie 'Hyperspace' / IN PROGRESS)
The truth (as I believe it) is that Einstein didn't want matter to go faster than light and when Relativity proved the opposite he fought against it with every ounce of his will

Scientist - Inventor, AI - computing science and Strong AI primary, physics space science, gravity, and relativity specialist,

I have been obsessed with machines inventions and invention itself since I was a small child, science and technology - and my other big interests include science fiction (gasp!), green 'politics', philosophy, modern art, music. Oh but my interest and excitement is non-trivial - these science-machine thingies have a real and huge positive impact on the world. (DIGRESSION) Its not an exaggeration either to say that SF played a central role in creating many of the best bits of todays world. A series of science and science fiction articles and books written by Vernor Von-Braun and Willy Ley played a huge part in creating modern concepts of space travel and things like the Apollo program. The basic design of the Saturn rocket itself and most of the other Apollo machines first appeared in this series. The internet and World Wide Web were born as science fiction years before they existed, the same for pocket TV and mobile phones. As for Robots, or genetics 100 years before. And the most extreme example of course is Da Vinci and his flights of fancy, the helicopter, the plane, computers, robots. As a child I was particularly into space and spacecraft - both real and fantasy, robots and computers, cars, aircraft, electronics, power - all the usual things. In some ways my 'obsessions' are the same today, except that today I actually understand the physics behind them now - a crucial difference.

My early hero’s I’m afraid include the Nazi rocket scientists, people like Von-Braun. Although the Nazi’s were politically questionable and did some very bad things they were also the most pro-science political group of the 20th century, and an incredible number of Nazi inventions are still in use today. Even Israel uses delta wing fighters and guided missiles both largely Nazi technologies. Other heroic inventors include Nickola Tesla, Edison, Marconi, and Baird. Amazing engineers like Parsons, Brunel, Whittle and Barns Wallace. And of course we have the computing inventors - the wonderful Alan Turing, and others like John Von Neumann, also Babbage, and of course George Boole (possibly the real father of computing), and finally let us not forget the genius Norbert Wiener (the inventor of automatic control and Cybernetics). <This still needs (a lot of) work. Sorry.>

My Grandfather was an electrical engineer and inventor in the World War Two era - he worked for British intelligence, and was an expert in miniaturization and other fields. He worked on several important projects including miniature radios, and Moving map Radar (which had a big impact on the war) and others we don't fully know about. Another claim to fame is that he built possibly the worlds first portable tape (wire) recorder, he worked on other things including electronic sound generation - he worked for Ferguson for many years and died in 1972. <This still needs (a lot of) work. Sorry.>


Lucien - Dr Lucien was a genetic scientist in the Japanese Manga "Dirty Pair" who indirectly created the Dirty Pair aka Lovely Angels, I just liked the name. Ok I love the ultra sci-fi world of the W.W.W.A and the Angels - even if I wouldn't want them to visit no matter how pretty they are!. Actually it might be exciting. J (Lucien also wears the dark glasses). Lucien is also the name of one of the great philosophers ...

Gamers
A proper gamer never leaves his (her) computer, he sleeps next to it, eats next to it, has sex next to it. When he goes out he feels naked without a laptop. If there's nothing better to play he eventually reaches for Microsoft’s Minefield. Human contact is mostly talking to other gamers about computers. His friends are all geeks with computers to. When he's not gaming he uses his computer for work, WP's for articles, art programs for art, Visual Studio or gnu C++ for coding. If he’s a serious worker/ programmer he has at least 50 books just on programming engineering and talking about computers. Even a lot of his music has a computery feel and he has films about computers or at least with computers as central characters. His aim in life is to build Holly or Zen or Orac, or Hal, or even Skynet. Yes he does have a girlfriend (boyfriend) but .. only in his head (you can't have everything) .. and he admits that the real reason is that he just can’t be bothered to do all that interaction.

Green Politics
- Green and environmentalist since the 80s, country person favours non-urban primacy.
- Over Population,. Today there are to many people and the heaving mass of human over population is our biggest problem in the world. (Especially in the UK, if the USA had the same population density as here it would have 2.4 billion people).
- Pro-Nuclear, nuclear power is the only real option that can fight climate change.
- Pro nuclear green power, nuclear power can be made far greener and safer than it is today. Advanced PWR plus Fast Breeding cycle and reprocessing, gravel bed reactors, and even nuclear CHP and alternative distribution.
- Anti-wind turbine, monstrous deformed carbuncles that should be demolished. Large wind turbines are colossally ugly, damage the environment, leak oil into natural wildernesses, and kill birds. And since they only last about twenty years they are in constant need of fresh demolition and replacement.
- Anti- sea wind turbine. An affront to nature, they propose fleets of these rotting leaking oil tankers to fill our oceans (with oil). Even more monstrous than their land based cousins they are more an attack on the environment than anything else.

- Moral relativist - This means I don’t believe humans are the centre of the universe, but acknowledge that ALL GOOD AND EVIL ARE RELATIVE. This doesn’t mean my morals are weak, I just believe that people are often far too arrogant. To be a moral absolutist is to be truly Hitlarian - "my opinion X is always right and anything opposed to me must be evil !! I fundamentally disagree with this."

'Anti Thatcherite, and Anti Monetarism.' Thatcher and her 'evil' 'stupid' theories have done more damage to the modern world than perhaps any other. It shouldn't surprise you that I hate her since she is/was vehementally anti-utopian
Thatcherite Central Tenets :
' The only value of anything in the world is its value in money. '
' Give to the rich take from the poor. '
' There is no such thing as society ' - she proved this herself by destroying British society.
Thatcherism's heart is "Economic 'Liberalisation' " - ie Making your own industry and business vulnerable to attack and removing every advantage or protection they have, while at the same time giving competitors and enemies bonuses and free money to invade. Highly effective at destroying almost any economic base.
Thatcherism undoes the baseline between rich and poor creating a permanent underclass with no stake in the future, and a new super rich class who get the power to siphon as much money and power as they want.
'Protect the rich and kick the poor' is the whole of Thatcherite philosophy. Typical Thatcherite leaders line their own pockets and help their friends while sucking the life out of their dominion. They tend to destroy or degrade many democratic institutions because they don't really believe in democracy much anyway. Their nation crumbles. (Notable Thatcherites. Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagen, Tony Blair, John ~Major, George W Bush (and Dad), Burlusconi, Sarkozy)

Islam - There are plenty of muslims who are good people - wonderful people, but sadly the essence of being a good human is unfortunately rather similar to being a bad muslim. - Things like - tolerance, mercy, forgiveness, humour, love, tenderness, alcohol. (orig. written a day after yet another atrocity.) By Islam’s laws I would die for at least three different reasons. If you think Islam can be part of todays society as it is look at its followers praying, they bow to the floor in supplication, and such groveling to anything simply can't be compatible with the democratic world view. (Don't get me wrong I don't hate Islamic people - I just want to rescue them from the evil brain eating mites that are eating their brains!. - goes for certain other religions to.)

Christianity - There are good Christians and bad Christians, sometimes the good Christians seem like the a tiny minority sometimes not. When we look back at the past to the Christian era we see a society so dominated by religion that nothing except absolute obedience was tolerated. The churches greatest crimes make the Nazi final solution look like a children’s tea party in comparison. Even when we look to today we see the 'traditionalists' the new medievals as they are sometimes called. These are people who believe in nothing except god, in Judgment Day, and damnation for everyone else, yet they are often the most immoral people. It would be easier for a herd of camels to fit through the eye of a needle than for someone like George W. to make it to heaven, protecting the rich while attacking and feeding on the poor is hardly compatible with Jesus's teachings (let alone mention Iraq).

I sometimes like to liken many religions to disease, Islam is like Syphilis or TB, Christianity like AIDS or Alzheimer’s, Judaism a little like cancer, Satanism and occultism are like schizophrenia, Mormonism a like necrotizing fasciitis, Scientology is like pattern baldness or aging, even atheism is a little like gout or gall stones, or anorexia or bulimia.

The PC Fascist - today’s PC fascist might hate racism against certain selected races, or smoking, or drugs, or fat people, or the poor, or the unfashionable, or being rude, it can be anything - but they are still as much a Fascist as any Brown Shirt from the Nazi period. - Its how they behave not what they believe that makes someone a fascist. Anyone can be a fascist no matter what colour or creed or belief - prime example of ex PM Blair. No one likes real fascists, even Hitler killed his own Brown shirts in the day of the long knives -as soon as he no longer needed them.
The sad Irony of the Crypto-Fascist is that they hate fascists, would brand them scar them burn them and label them, would even shoot them on sight - put them in camps and simply kill them en mass in groups. The joke is that (they are a fascist) but simply wont admit it especially to themselves. 'Crypto' seems so appropriate since they so often seem to live in worlds of mazes of their own creation. 'Crypto - Fascist' I kind of liked and 'borrowed' from Lister in Red Dwarf.

The 'Racist' PC 'Anti-racist' (Fascist) -
They call themselves 'Anti-racist, and anti-fascist' but … to me they don’t half look like a certain group of Germans from the early 1930’s. To me all races should be treated equally but my experience of so called 'anti'-racism is that it is so often anything but. My experience of 'anti-racism' is that it is often one sided - and NOT applied equally. For someone of a non preferred colour racism of any kind is utterly wrong and unacceptable, but racism against them seems to be basically 'okay', especially if its from someone of one of the more 'preferred' races or colours. My opinion is that all races are basically equal - but that only means that most people are equally stupid. Black and brown people can be just as smug arrogant stupid smug vicious greedy brutal ugly arrogant thieving and vicious as white. I can understand how a lot of black people feel about race but replacing one prejudice with another is pointless.
My own work in AI shows me very clearly that genetics are much less important to sentience than cultural imprinting. Culture decides things like intelligence and self confidence. If black people under-achieve its because they are exposed to a culture that tells them to under-achieve, as this culture has spread to white communities they under-achieve equally well.

Lies - this is my biggest hate of all, and I’m not talking about small lies like Bill Clinton affairs. However understanding something of the dark side of the world I decide to choose to stay quiet about certain things because I don’t really fancy the risk of taking that old fashioned ‘Kennedy boat trip‘. Sadly of course, I'm a hypocrite too because sometimes I lie - but I hate lies and lying. However I would probably never tell you my biggest hates/fears/secrets/etc. I admit I sometimes lie, but anyone who doesn’t admit this must be a liar, or so shallow as to not be human. - (See 'Hypocrisies' below - lost).

The ‘Police' - obviously not the everyday 'little' police who theoretically 'protect' us from crime, but rather those dedicated to ‘evil’ in the name of the state. Burglary, assassination, corruption, selling drugs, telling lies, terrorism - 'on the beat' CIA-KGB-MI5-NWO-etc. The Policeman I hate the most is the Chav Policeman, he steals anything he can, he steals drugs he steals money. He wears a uniform but he's no different to any other chav, he only became a policeman so he could do more crime. The truth is that I’m no big fan of the British police and wish we could import some of the professionalism and quality of the American police force. The UK is a very good democracy in some ways but very poor in others, our state has almost everything in place today to perform an authoritarian coup - and a succession of corrupt terrible useless prime ministers are to blame. - I wonder if much of V for Vendetta isn’t our future.


Chavs - Say no more, chavs are the British disease - a sign of the malingering rot that stands in for national culture these days. As a goth at heart I know the place for Chavs is the death centres and ovens. If Hitler had killed Chavs instead of Jews or Gays no one would have bothered to complain. In a true Chav family what do you call a 26 year old? Grandad! The real truth is that chavs are evolving to become a special useless kind of human so that we can hunt and feed on without worry as we evolve to become true vampires. - The true place for chavs is in hamburgers.

CND, the pseudo greens, and other Techno hate (anti-nuclear) groups. - mindless hate mongers, hate for progress, hate for science, hate for technology, hate for the environment, hate for truth. Most people don’t really understand that CND and its friend organizations are playing a big part in the environmental degradation of our society and the encroachment on our civil liberties - putting their mad agenda ahead of everything.
- Their slogan should be "Promoting climate change by banning Nuclear Power."

Phones - Yes there is one of todays little dohickeys I hate, the "Devils Mouthpiece". Phones ring when you don’t want them to, phones ring and its people selling you things, phones ring and its someone wanting money, - I HATE IT. Phones distract you and break your concentration while your working. Just leave me alone, I don’t want to speak. A gentle salesman once kept me on the line for one and a half hours while he talked me into a deal - that turned out to be a total rip off - and it was for a mobile phone as well (T(hieving)-Mobile). Worse though the one time the only time you actually need your mobile is the one time you don’t have it. I’ve only had five or so mobiles, the first was an ugly huge orange embarrassment, the second I loved then lost, the third got old, the fourth was ‘ok’ but poor, and the fifth - terrible. NO! Moto!, No Moto Please!!

Terminological Disaster - whether it be aura, or cyber, laser, quantum, or genetic - words get stolen and corrupted. Possibly the worst is 'Cyber', cybernetic really means cybernetic feedback - interactive feedback and its as simple as that. Part human part robot, all robot, or completely human - strictly all can be called 'cyborgs' because they all use interactive feedback. could be. Science fiction stole the word cyber and created hybrids of metal and flesh and this has now come to be what being a cyborg means - even cybernetics scientists use it. Another terminological disaster is over 'Hyperspace', something about the word just seems to frighten most scientists, and a new theory called Heim theory has messed the situation up even more. - Heim 'hyperspace' is really hyperdimensional space, while 'proper' hyperspace is simply the region beyond the speed of light. In proper 'FTL Hyperspace' terminology Heim space would actually be a variant of subspace - but ironically if hyperspace exists then Heim space almost certainly doesn't - the two are basically mutually exclusive.
However at another level terminological incompatibilities are a constant menace. Scientists spend hours and days arguing a point only for one side to discover that the main contention is simply due to slightly differing terminology. This happens all the time, especially in fields like mine (Strong AI) where explorers frequently use and invent a great deal of their own terminology. In fact in many advancing areas sticking to the 'standard' terminology can hold you back heavily - especially when you realize that it has become such a complex obscure labyrinth. I want to be a scientist exploring mind not a lexicographer exploring the language of talking about mind.
These same problems all occur in mathematics but here compounded by the intrinsic complexity of hundreds of years of work, and the myopia that mathematical logic can induce.

Science - As a Career I am a General Scientist and Computer Scientist specialising in AI.

Science is the search for truth, by far the most important endeavour in human society. If only the world was run by scientists it would be a far better place. (Note : Thatcher was not a ‘scientist’ despite claims to the opposite. : Note politicians LIE.!!)

Rockets / Space - in fact all space stuff, especially things like “Medium Energy” “advanced” space travel. I could say a lot about space. Todays spacecraft move slowly, and are stuck on primitive low energy trajectories. The word 'Orbit' becomes almost irrelevant once you have enough thrust and specific impulse. I'm talking about high accelerations and fast trip times - a month to Mars, five to Jupiter, a year or so to Saturn or Pluto. The only technology we have that could do this today is the old Orion 'nuclear pulse' system which has its green issues because it 'consumes' tens of thousands of nuclear bombs.

Speculative Science and inventing - because I have an IQ of 140 I find trivial pastimes like watching sports mostly just too - trivial, I need something more. Besides once/if you succeed inventing is the most profitable occupation ever, the big project I have been working on for about 15 years has an ultimate total market size of maybe $1 trillion per year -win that on the lottery (see Main Project below).

'Hyperspace' - hyperspace is not just science fiction, in fact it can be a most interesting and powerful concept. Some kind of Hyperspace should be an inevitable consequence of Relativity. But due to may years of simpleminded propaganda and other factors hyperspace theories have been hopelessly unfashionable for decades. - Relativists don't like hyperspace because it marks Relativity as incomplete and dead. Once you understand hyperspace, the rest of ordinary physics never quite looks the same again and some areas change out of recognition or almost collapse. Sadly the real hyperspace is not 'quite' the same as the fantasy sci-fi one, not only does it still basically ban FTL travel, but it now also stops all those tricks like wormholes and dimensional travel because it makes them basically impossible.

[For science users : Around 1997 I was working on a computational basis for AI (Artificial Intelligence) trying to solve some of its many problems including that of ‘computability‘. One solution I found began to lead me towards a new mathematics, a mathematics where first infinite then imaginary numbers began to look computable. I soon realized this could be mapped to things like ‘tachyons’ and that work in one area seemed to open up possibilities in many.
Although not fully published even today, I have taken some of this much further and it opens up possibilities in many interesting areas within science and physics. - Tachyon mediated theories of sentience, theories of general causality, flat 3D FTL hyperspace, a quantum revolution and much other new physics. Tachyons can also mediate on evolution and force an answer on the existence of the 'metaphysical'. Moreover it offers a route to a unified physics based on a 'tachyonic' bridge between quantum mechanics and Relativity. This theory creates an effective but remarkably ugly G-U-T and new cosmological possibilities as an after effect. As welll as this it also slays the dragons of the Strong Anthropomorphic principle and inherent unpredictability returning us to a more classical almost Newtonian universe. I call my theory - Hyperspace Relativity HR. (verses SR, GR, HR) ]

Proper Sci-fi, Horror, and Related - Blake’s 7, Dr Who, Star Wars, Star Trek and other truly classic sci-fi TV. As for books there are about 1,000 but in my top list would be Ann McCaffery’s Pern books, C.J. Chrryh's Cyteen, Isaac Asimov’s robot books and foundation series, EE Doc Smiths books like The Skylark, HG Wells The War of the Worlds, The Time Machine or The Island of Dr Moreau, Ray Bradbury’s The Golden Apples of The Sun, many of Michael Moorcock’s books like The Runestaff series, and many of L. Ron Hubbard’s books like Battlefield Earth (a vastly underrated book) I would also include Steven King and Clive Barker, plus Dan Simmons and Tim Powers and Ian Banks, books like the fabulous Carrion Comfort, Cabal, or the Wasp Factory. There are many others.

Goth and Weirdness. - I love Vampires and the occult and am widely read, taking a journey through fantasy or a medieval world are an escape from the dullness of the present day. Unlike most scientists I am quite 'psychic' and have had a number of precog events. (Unfortunately this road also leads to madness). The alternate culture world is something I am quite familiar with. I love the little things and the black leather, and the shiny black hair in a shoulder length bob, the combat boots the black mesh shirts and the makeup and all that. I cant wear it myself but I still love you goth cuteness.

Manga / Anime. Yes I do own a complete collection of Battle Angel Alita, Metropolis, Bubblegum, Akira, yes to Ghost in the Shell, yes to studio Ghibli and the fab Laputa, Spirited Away, Mononoke etc. Yes to Cyber and goth and babe robot dolls, and tough girl police who drive little tanks called Bonaparte, and Yes to the legendary Dirty Pair.

Rock music - from Green Day and The Pogues, to Nirvana,, NIN, Placebo, Marilyn Manson or the Cure, I love Soft Cell, and Depeche Mode, and the Eurythmics. And weird old punk like Hazel O’Connor, or Fun Boy Three or That Petrol Emotion. I am a huge Adam Ant fan, and of Talking Heads, and REM, and the Sugar Cubes, and yes The Beatles (and a lot of 60‘s music). Let us not forget Blondie or Kim Wild, Mettallica, or the Dead Kennedy’s. I am a true music head. Fav newish bands - The Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, The Like and a few others.

Big solutions to particular problems. Some of my solutions you may like some you may not. Each one can be regarded as independent and separate from the others, indeed some are incompatible with others. However if a policy maker ever takes even one I will be happy.

Pedophile Problem
The truth about pedophilia is that our whole current solution is wrong, we hunt, catch, imprison, and then release, to repeat the cycle. This simply ignores the truth - pedophilia like other sexual deviancies is a compulsion. The way to deal with it is as a medical not a criminal issue, we need a solution that the anti-pedophile groups, children and child agencies, and indeed pedophiles themselves - can all live with.
The solution is not prison - it is permanent resettlement camps. The pedophile is taken out of society to a place where they will never confront children - never have to confront children. This is simply removing the sexual object and thus defusing the poison, and at the same time protecting children in general. The simple truth about pedophilia is that the number one cause is exposure to pedophilia in childhood - thus if you reduce the exposure of children to this deviancy you will reduce the whole incidence of pedophilia in the future.
Unlike prisons (my) resettlement camps are not about punishment, they are about protection of children and they are about the protection of all including the pedophile. Some who go there will be voluntary 'patients' while some will have committed acts of criminality. There are also many different degrees of 'sickness', depending on assessment - some will stay voluntarily, some will be held by force. Those who are a physical threat to children will not be allowed to simply leave. A camp is also different to a prison in other ways, far higher standards of behavior are demanded, and far greater levels comfort and freedom are permitted.Economic activity of various types can be more easily integrated into such a system allowing people to live fuller and more useful lives without being a threat.

Rape / Sexual Attack Problem
The pedophile solution above can be easily extended to rape and other sexual crimes. The simple concept of separation works very well because it protects both offender and potential victims. In this case the camps will be even more strong. 24 hour computerized monitoring and position tracking will ensure that acts of violence and aggression (against other inmates) never escape attention, and of course will lead to appropriate punishment.

General Violence / Delinquency Problem
We extend again from the Rape solution and The pedophile solution above, to more general categories of criminality and violence. Again an extensive monitoring and control and punishment regime can be designed to ameliorate and moderate behavior. A filtering system naturally grades those who are the most extreme together and away from the rest of the camp population, and into stronger and stronger environments that are more like category A prisons. Controlling and reducing violence is the primary objective not secondary or peripheral as it is so often today. Unlike a prison a camp isn't the bottom of the pit and doesn't actually require you to commit the rape or murder first, it acts on threat and risk, and it protects both the criminal and society

COSTS Benefits
Camps verses the population control problem. Obviously there will be fears of a Hitlerian approach to camp inmates, and this must be guarded very strongly against. The simple truth though is that in population reduction control the main groups that need to be culled are those inside the breeding cycle (ie babies/children) and those who choose to reproduce beyond the stasis number (ie breed excessively). The third group should be random, though many will choose the weak or the poor or immigrants. (I personally prefer airborne spread biological warfare agents as these kill directly on biological ) This system of camps will obviously be complex and expensive to run. The population in the UK might reach 100,000 for the pedophile camps, 50,000 for the sexual crime camps, and 200,000 for the general violence camps. However note that most of these people are already a drain on society, and camp systems should allow much lower costs per average patient than prisons. Also because the crime punishment and release cycle is permanently broken, the general police force can be halved in size. Police are very expensive too. The benefits to society are colossal and this system is designed to directly reverse the general slide of the whole of society into criminality.

Drugs Problem
The final part of the solution is to tackle the problem of drugs, the central cause of criminality and degeneration in Britain and other societies today.

It is the society of normal life and living for the now that has lead directly to our species lack of forward thinking and the shirking of the difficult questions.
Capitalism on the other side has no care about the future and no respect for the past. The socialist alternative to capitalism didn't work, but we still need to find another approach. Capitalisms greatest evil is the need to value everything by the value of money. Capitalism is actually encouraging population growth and economic expansion because at its heart is a constant need for economic growth, a direction that we know will destroy us because of its blind greed. Statement Four : Obliteration / Starvation Raising the poor from poverty without changing the modality of society and capital is the worst thing we can do for the environment. Consider how many new power stations China and India are currently building, consider how many Africa will soon need. Simply raising the poor from hunger and feeding them adequately will be enough to completely destroy the balance between humanity and the Earth. This is already happening. When you hear that there is a vast flow of food from Africa to Europe and America and Asia aren't you afraid? Move the equation to a food balance and it simply doesn't work, the food support system is less than the number of mouths. We are balanced on the edge of Damocles sword and about to fall, It isn't Africa, it isn't Asia, it isn't Europe, it isn't America, it isn't Australasia - its all of them.

The Solution : Population Reduction Control The simple truth is that our population is to high, much too high, and it needs to be reduced too quickly for birth control methods to work. Pop-Con (Population Control) - The Dark Heart of Deep Green .
Over Population is one of the biggest threats to humanities future survival on earth.
Against everything is a brutal fact which I first computed many years ago. We take a global nuclear war that kills over half the human population and compare it to continuing peace. We look globally and once we look over more than about 10 or 20 years the war becomes the greener option, in fact within as little as a year. Worse though is that the war isn’t just greener its MUCH greener.

Our society is a poison that is consuming the earth. We buy use discard, we live in a short lived throwaway world - but everyone knows that. The real problem isn’t just the 'fridge', its the number of 'fridges', and the number of fridges is a fractional of the number of people. The other side of this coin is our consumption of nature, we are slowly turning the whole earth into a farm simply to feed ourselves. - 'At 100% land use the earth can support only about 12 billion people', at 100% land and sea use it rises to about 30 billion - but in both cases nature will likely collapse in just a few decades. The problem is that this puts us near the limit already - we are in real trouble, and as the third world equalizes with the first the food consumption could easily double and double again. The only solution is radical population reduction. 1 to 2 billion might be a maximum long-term safe limit. -
The most sane method is by mass sterilization or strong birth control. Maybe even including sterilization by 'disease vector'.
The most insane is the Catholic method - to keep reproducing without limit until it all collapses - or explodes.
Space Habitation - solves the problem a very different way but requires enormous leaps in technology - probably at least 100 years away.
Let us Hope - this is the wildcard - do nothing and pray that the Joker is high. Maybe we can muddle through.
The other methods worth considering are mostly 'evil' - because they generally involve raising the death rate rather than lowering the birth rate. -
They include - Systematic war - constant controlled war. Death centres - Hitlers solution but on a far bigger scale. Disease - bio-weapons offer one of the 'easiest' solutions but launched on a big enough scale would be terribly unpredictable. New top predators - incredibly difficult to implement, and today more fantasy than reality. In the end HOPE is all we can hope for.

Climate Change. Here the solution is simple because it is technological, we have three layers of action. -
'Today' - Low cost action. Switch to 'green' power - Wind turbines, Hydroelectric, Nuclear, Bio-fuels, try to slow our increase in CO2 output, etc
'Twenty Years' - Much better solutions. - Nuclear Fusion, bio-cycle cars (chemistry), hydrogen fuel cycle, limited terraforming methods, CO2 recycling.
'One Hundred Years' - Super Advanced solutions. - High energy nuclear, massive invasive terraforming, atmosphere manipulation from space, weather control, mass space migration, 'trash' mining, complete artificial biome.
As you can see I am a lot more pessimistic than most but a lot less as well, there is a (tech) solution to any problem.

Genetic Suicide Solution Most problems are 'external', this one is different - it is internal and far more difficult to escape. Every species is evolving constantly and even staying still requires constant evolution. We breed and differentiate, nature culls the differentiation by killing the weak and unlucky of each generation, the strong survive and breed again. This is nature, it is life through death, but we humans hate death - and we have conquered death. The first (and only) principle of humanism is protecting human life, we defeat nature but our DNA goes on differentiating. Genetically we are slowly decaying, and sterilization is the inevitable result.
Again we have 'good' and 'evil' solutions. The 'good' solution stops the problem by massive genetic engineering, by seizing our DNA and protecting it, by abandoning 'natural' sexual reproduction. A 'bad' solution that might work is the 'Spartan' method, put all children on a test against nature so that about half survive to each generation. Doing nothing will continue the slow rot and rise in sterility until one day we find that instead of having too many people we don't have enough. Doing nothing is a slow slow slow suicide.

Artificial Biome - Not only can we survive on earth in the future, we can survive on Mars or the asteroid belt or one of Jupiter’s moons. Artificial Biomes are not always a good solution but they are better than death. Essentially you live inside a box that has comfortable pressure, temperature, and is dry and safe, food and other needs are produced in vast on site factories.
Obviously Artificial Biomes are critical to space colonization or any long term space investment plan. The real question though is about here on earth, our population problem and other eco. dangers can be solved simply by moving people into Artificial Biomes on the ground. The only real constraint is a switch to more communistic social systems, experience shows that market led systems are simply not reliable enough in these circumstances. 'Communistic' does not mean non-capitalist - it is essentially the old fashioned approach where a single company makes every part of the system, and above all that control is not mediated by external economic factors. Cheap reactors with poor shielding are never a good idea.

Mass space transit - otherwise known as Medium Energy space travel. Really more difficult than most people think. The central core of the whole paradigm is a powerful enough engine with a much higher exhaust velocity, we then need a new kind of powerplant to power it.
Medium energy ships are characterized by no longer needing orbital trajectories or precise launch windows, and can give a typical journey time of less than a month between Earth and Mars. Many of today’s problems like heat shields and extreme weight requirements become far less important and spacecraft can be built more simply out of aluminium or even steel.
One thing we can say is that medium energy engines are likely to need to be very large, however a medium energy ship will make orbit from launch using only 10% to 50% of its mass to be fuel. In more advanced versions this could reach as low as 5%.
With Today’s technology circa 2008 we have 'atmospheric breaking', 90%+ fuel loads, and fast low orbits, all characteristics of our very low energy - very primitive space travel. In space we are still cavemen!

Full Medical - Once genetic engineering becomes mature, medicine won't just cure aging it will start to cure everything. At its most extreme, medical technology (organic based or other) will allow the complete repair of dead neural tissue as long as the overall structure and 'state' survives.

Using complete Tissue Level life support systems it will become quite easy medically to save and preserve the life of say a severed head - , less unpleasantly the same tech could cure almost any disease, even solve the problem of loosing weight. - With funding this technology could take less than ten years from now to develop.
Child survival from conception onwards will become possible through the intermediary of a complete Artificial Womb, again the time frame is as little as ten years from now, or less. - but like everything it needs money, will, and resources.
Slightly modified tissue life support systems could solve 'the problems of Loosing Weight'. The best way to solve the weight problem is not to interfere with digestion or diet but to work on our own internal fats metabolism to pull stored fat out of our bodies directly, a special dialysis system then removes it from our blood. and Voila!!

The final medical solution is separate because it is much more 'difficult' and complex, Life Extension, anti-ageing, or to go even further - Immortality or 'eternal youth'. At the moment we are simply not designed to live forever, evolution tosses us in the bin (trash) as soon as we've reproduced. But the way humans are constructed it should be possible, we have all the elements already that would make life eternal. - We are a self replicating self repairing machine we must merely perfect the mechanism - at the DNA level, at the chemical level, at the cell level, at the structure level. This doesn’t mean we will live forever it merely means we won't die from aging. The same tech will offer a cure for cancer, but see the slightly bizarre section at the bottom on 'psychic batteries'.

Yet another sneaks in, despite the fact that some 'Cybernetic' implants like eyes are basically possible now I expect this to be at least thirty years away - if ever. Cybernetic Neural implant technology. Cybernetic link - all the fun of the fair, total immersion VR, enhanced cognition, really cure 'ANY' mental illness, enhanced synapses and neural response, even exotic 'built in' toys like VR internet, phones, GPS or PC if you want them.
Next once we have A we might as well have B and C as well - there comes a point where cybernetic replacement parts are not only indistinguishable from the natural but almost universally - better, faster, enhanced strength, sensitivity, reflexes. I know its a very common sci-fi fantasy, but even today’s artificial limbs are enormously better than just a few years ago. (and of course its a free pass to immortality as above)

AI - the Intelligent Machines - my own tech area. - , Actually AI is one of the most difficult areas to predict of all, there are a myriad of possible applications and areas - both good and bad. As much depends on politics and society than the technology itself. Robot workers were once a fear, but the jobs are already gone, and robot workers are going to be more expensive than people for a very long time - (a typical estimate is a lease purchase cost of $200,000 plus at least $40,000 per year maintenance - the rough costs of AZIMO plus my AI).

Real AI's are likely to look more like R2D2 than Azimo, or rather like ‘Daleks’ - a Dalek has a very large volume inside. - AIs require massive computer power and this requires massive power supplies, power supply needs are at least 2 KW constant (5 years ago it was over 10 KW, in 1995 it was 40 to 100 KW). Add to this the computer itself, its EMP shield and cooling system, the mechatronic system, actuators and support weights, and body structure - you have a total equipment weight of maybe 150 to 500 Kg. Remote AI brain interface operation is far beyond todays tech because failure can destroy the AI, the robot, and potentially kill.
Robot Design - When I was examining robot design the energy store solution that looked the best was liquid chemical fuel, batteries are very expensive and have short lifespans, nuclear tends to be ultra heavy and expensive, other methods are even worse. Ultimately today we are tied to the mains supply. The most efficient transfer system is probably hydraulics or steam, single motor plus half shafts and clutches, pitons (directly explosive driven), or some kind of biometric muscle. One alternative that beats all the others hands down on efficiency is organic muscle, but here the problem is that we become too much like Dr Frankenstein. Building an entire synthetic organic muscle system is still in the realms of science fiction.
Dangers of AI. - The real danger with AI is hacking, and the system must be completely closed and 'unbreakable'. This Orwellian solution might seem uncomfortable but is far better than the alternative. - For instance an internet deployed virus that turns every infected AI into a killing machine. Perhaps even more frightening is the prospect of a rich dictator or terrorist gaining the tech to build intelligent robots. - War robots are the future, but they have the potential to be a particularly bad future. (The Phantom Menace anyone?)
Positives. - The really exciting thing about AI are the changes it can make in current tech - cars, planes, machine centres, surgery, spacecraft, everyday computers, even houses. There are completely new application areas everywhere - software automation, business communications glue, interactive computer games, ultra competent doctor helpers and mobile surgeons, etc. Everywhere it touches AI will save lives and prevent accidents, it will prevent or reduce terrorism, and it will massively accelerate things like police database searching. An army that uses AI in every part especially in its command system glue will have an unbeatable advantage. As for EMI and EMP - well the answer to that is simple case design - all AI systems should be completely immune.
A second tier of dangers comes in countries like the UK or China where the state may decide to use AI glue to achieve total citizen monitoring. The arguments are very strong, total monitoring can achieve absolute zero crime almost instantly, but on the other side freedom and privacy simply become history. An AI mediated system not only solves this problem it will allow us to completely scrap the current justice system - saving vast amounts of time and money and potentially being far fairer and more reliable. The system will also stop illegal immigration dead and make fraud in government offices or anywhere else almost impossible. Tempting.

My main project is in Strong AI and I have worked on it for almost twenty years. I'm not talking about the dumb things that others have built but real genuine intelligence. In some ways I am very near to a complete working AI system but I have hit a solid wall, a stumbling block that has slowed my work almost to a stop stop for about the last five years. The problems are not in theory or design, they are in implementation.

My problems mostly come from ordinary computing, modern computers are simply not designed to run AI.
The first problem is with language, current high level languages are just not up to the task, and Machine code and raw C constantly get to ugly and to complex.
Another problem is with operating system design, the strong AI application needs to be in total command of the computer but the modern approach simply does not allow this, requiring a custom operating system and custom kernal. Even the prototype stage needs this.(Agrrhh!!!)
Even worse the system is based on a special type of interpretation and needs a capsule based protection system and a wide flat register array. - Effectively this means that the first thing I need is a custom purpose designed processor. But annoyingly this needs to be the last part of the design process - as well as the first.
So what I really need is my own silicon FAB, a nice operating system company, a good software design house, and an innovative strong hardware design company. Ideally they should all fit in one nice easily controlled workstation that fits on a desk - and by the way I have no money to pay for it either. Which is the real problem of course. The thing is worth literally trillions of dollars but I need tens of thousands or millions to start - and the problem with my family is we are all broke.

Lost Series 04 Episode 05 The Secret of Life

The secret is a time 'transience' between different times. (Time 'Transience' is the causality come reality of a local time point).
Special Case, here within a local time-space frame time transience becomes part of - a bridge where different times are joined as one. As it says on the box direct 'time travel' is generally almost 'impossible' for matter itself. But information can travel through time as long at it doesn't conflict with the time entropy of any impinging light cone - this generally involves keeping the Coherent energy involved below the quantum limit.
Consciousness seems to possesses just such a 'time transience' bridge, that lets it examine and even create its own reality as long as it keeps its own energy threshold below the local Quantum Limit, this plays a critical part in its operation as well. There seems to be something special about this bridge - an engine that affectys the quantum values. [half fin]

(Quantum Limit being directly equivalent to Tachyon threshold (this is a LucienTM theory) ).
Consciousness exists within a special box that allows its transience to be much higher by raising its quantum limit, In theory any box can do this, it must continue to exist (t becomes a line), it must exist in a static state of very low entropy but high information energy (be a 'memory'), it must avoid excessive time dilation (low mass = near c), to maintain its walls it must prevent information leaks, and it must have some mechanism of powering its quantum threshold directly so that it can repair its walls. The irony is that it proves that GR is a correct theory, it also shows how to beat it and go faster than light.

If I have gone mad it is because I have seen the world that is faster than light, if I have gone mad it is because I have seen god and seen the true nature of god and reality -god does not exist as such, but there are little gods. He is not their 'god', he is me, he is hyperspace, he is you. We need no SuperGod. I have seen the face of god and he is an equation - mathematics - hard logic.

* * * . . . Anyway I can't publish any of it here at Wikipedia because it would be <HORROR> "original research" as is most of my other work, some of us just seem to have far to much of that. At Wikipedia the only thing we want is verifiable second hand information, with formal verification. Sometimes it can be of dubious value because we live in a world that is invaded by censorship and propaganda (Propaganda = false truth), and sometimes it is very annoying. But as it stands now, Wikipedia is open and about the best general information source we have (Not an exaduration). Despite its policies and the fact that they can't actually spell "Encyclopaedia", Wikipedia is nothing like an 'Encyclopaedia' - mainly because it is almost infinitely better.

Sad Amendum : I have recently come across many new areas of Wikipedia that simply do not have the quality of the science, rocket, and physics sections. Sadly Wikipedia is exactly like an encyclopaedia in that so many sections have something wrong with them, an error or some editors lopsided opinion - the worst ones are where good articles are steadily being corrected to become bad - trivia is what encyclopaedia's are supposed to be all about.

 Trivia sections are discouraged under Wikipedia guidelines.
The article could be improved by integrating relevant items and removing inappropriate ones.


In the beginning the internet was seen as and meant to be a symbol of freedom, the ultimate form of democracy. But human nature hates freedom and likes to turn it into a fascist state. In places like Wikipedia there are the strong and the weak, less and more, Moderator and slave. The future is a boot, stamping on a human face-forever.
