Hello, Wikipedia reader! I am a Romanian-American scientist with a background in medicine, biophysics, and neurosciences. Besides the professional interest, I care about urban civilization (European football and Eurodance included), sociology, politics and history. I am contributing to Wikipedia since 2003, mainly in the fields of biology, physics and Romanian-specific articles, when I found Wikipedia useful in preparing my exams. I avoid editing clinical articles, as I am required not to practice medicine until and if I get the US license.
I believe that Wikipedia is a PR lever for Romania, countering the classical "CNN story", which is leaning too much South of the truth regarding Romania's position in WWII, Cold War, or wholesale orphans for foreign buyers.
Boring legalese stuff: I assume that in any legislation of the world, Wikipedia is not a reliable source, so whatever edits I make have no value other than marginally informative.
My contributions should be regarded as under a dual license. I personally see them as BSD-licensed, with no legal liability whatsoever on my side. That is, you are free to do whatever you like with my contributions, but expect no compensation for any damage it may cause. Expect no help / explanation / addition on additional content on whatever I'm writing, and no answer to your inquiries. However, this rule is to be applied only when allowed by the rules of the whole Wikipedia or when Wikipedia rules are less favourable to me. Otherwise, current Wikipedia rules take precedence.
According to the Romanian law (whose subject I am), any controversial contribution, such as in politics, should be regarded as a pamphlet (that would be a loss of truth and a gain in humour) and no legal liability should apply to this content. I'd refugee in Vatican's consulate, like Noriega, rather than allowing the American law take precedence.
PS. Many readers seem to be confused by my name, supposing that I am a girl. While I bet they are more polite because of that supposition, I have to disappoint them - no, I am not a girl.
PPS. An artifact: My Sandbox. Another one: ToDo's List.
