Talk:Lucas Sang

[edit] Notability
I have removed the tag. Sang is prima facie notable since he was a competitor who had competed at the highest level in amateur sports. In addition his death was covered by The Times, The Daily Telegraph and Bloomberg and is so far one of the most high-profile casualties of the recent violence in Kenya. - Agreed; for now he meets the criteria. For a more general discussion on athlete nobility, one can participate in this discussion. The notability issue is beyond an individual article. Cheers, CP 04:44, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Cause of Death
The 2007-08 riots in Kenya page attributes Sang's death to "unknown circumstances," whereas here it states that he was "hacked to death." I'll look for verification. In the meantime, if anyone has a citation, please add. sæ (talk) 06:17, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- He may have been killed in circumstances which are unknown but the actual cause of death seems to be unequivocal in the international news sources cited. Dick G (talk) 10:35, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
