Lucy Verasamy

Lucy Verasamy (born 2 August 1980) is a weather forecaster for Sky News, and terrestrial channel Five in the United Kingdom.

Verasamy attended Silfield Primary School and Framlingham College Junior School Suffolk and King Edward VII High School in Norfolk;[1] where she studied A-Level Geography. After graduating with a degree in Geography and Earth Sciences from Brunel University in 2001,[2] she worked at the Press Association’s weather centre for four years as a forecaster,[3] writing forecasts for newspapers and scripts for radio.

Having previously completed a work experience placement at the Sky Weather Centre before becoming a weather forecaster, Verasamy joined the channel in 2005.[4] In 2007 the Sky News website started a feature entitled Climate Clinic - Ask Lucy as part of their Green Britain campaign, whereby Verasamy answered questions put forward by members of the public regarding climate change.[5]
