[edit] Attacking Anxiety and Depression
Though she has published and produced several products, the program "Attacking Anxiety and Depression" is by far Bassett's most famous product. The program is a 15-week workshop for recovery from anxiety disorder and clinical depression, which Bassett claims often co-exist within the sufferer. Participants may experience the program on four levels, either by attending in-person workshops conducted at the headquarters of the Midwest Center for Stress and Anxiety, or by purchasing an audio version of the program from the center. The third option allows participants to receive one-on-one counseling through personal coaching. The fourth option allows participants to go through the program via the company's web site. The program advocates a cognitive, as opposed to pharmaceutical, approach to recovery from these emotional disorders. Bassett places emphasis upon relaxation techniques and what she refers to as "positive thinking" as means of recovery.
